“Exceptional restaurant!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 26, 2014

We have spent a month in Lourmarin each year for the last 10 years and each year we always return to La Closerie at least once and often twice. This year, the food and the presentation was exceptional and well deserving of the Michelin star they received a few years ago. Today we had the 42 euro menu which included an amuse bouche plus three additional courses. Each course was outstanding! The wine by the glass was reasonable at 6.50 euros per glass. In addition to the regular bread, we were served some focaccia with a wonderful local olive oil. The oil can be purchased at the restaurant. There is a special three course menu which is only available at lunch during the week and is comprised of the entrée, plat and dessert of the day. It is a good choice if you like the "daily specials". La Closerie is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area of Ansouis. The restaurant has become very popular so it is mandatory to book, often more than one day in advance.

“Innovative food at a reasonable price”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 15, 2013

Small restaurant in Ansouis, which now has a Michelin star, so is very popular. Food was delicious and very interesting, with dishes such as pigeon on the menu. The price is not high considering the quality of the food and service. When we asked for a recommendation for wine, the cheapest bottle on the menu was suggested and it was a wonderful full bodied red which complemented our food selections. You must reserve ..we knew we were staying in the village and booked several months ahead.

“Tres Bien!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 4, 2013

Enjoyed lunch at this lovely place. Were seated outdoors, actually across the street from the main restaurant, but it is not a problem as Ansouis is a VERY quiet town! The restaurant is small, the service good, and the food presentation lovely. A pleasant stop on a day-trip through the Luberon. Price was not out of line at all. Reservations are a must.

“Worth every penny.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 17, 2013

If you are in the area this is a superb restaurant, and certainly not overpriced for the quality of the food. We had an exceptional meal and are still talking about it. The staff were professional and friendly, ignore the previous reviewer who complained of rudeness, this was certainly not here! Will definitely go back.
