We visited this restaurant as it was near the turn back point on our walk between the Reculver towers and Birchington,
This was a good decision. The place was bright and airy with excellent views of the sea from our table near the continuous glass windows. The restaurant was busy but not too noisy and the staff had cheerful smiles throughout our visit, which can be rare nowadays.
Service was reasonably quick but not rushed. I hadn't had a pub ploughman's for years, but this establishment's offering looked interesting - homemade duck & chicken liver pate and various homemade pickles, Portions are reasonable and the food is nicely presented without looking pretentious. This was priced at £7 and still less than £10 with a large pepsi. Everything was tasty and well presented.
Perhaps my only slight reservation is that some menu items looked a bit expensive, but then again I thought £7 was fine for the food we ordered.
