This bakery/cafe has changed hands since our visit last year but the pastries and other food remain the same - delicious. We had enjoyed coffee and almond croissants for morning tea then decided to book for dinner. It is BYO and there is a limited menu of rustic French food. The meals are served in little pots and it is suggested that you may like to share which we did.
As it was pouring rain and we forgot the umbrella, we had to have dessert, creme brulee.
The prices are very reasonable unlike some others in the area. Also the new owners are lovely and friendly.
Definitely worth a return visit.

We had lunch at French Sin last week, a very small menu but wonderful french bistro style food. We started with snails (of course), not at all rubbery and not overpowered with garlic and served with a lovely slice of french bread (chewy crust with a soft centre). Followed this with Duck Confit served with a very tasty (dried) bean ragout. Yes we ate even more with the most delicious crepe topped with caramelized apple and flambeed with calvados. The little cakes and pastries look superb and the atmosphere is quite rustic and relaxed, can't recommend it highly enough.
Open for breakfast and lunch and limited nights.

I had heard some good things from local fans of this quaint little bakery/cafe & decided to surprise a friend with a special birthday cake from here. I went in three days ahead of time to order the size & flavor of cake that I wanted, although there were only around 10 customers in the place it took nearly 20 minutes just for an opportunity to ask someone a question. I realize having conversations with your regulars is important but having someone stand at the till for 20 minutes??? I was told that the cake would not be a problem & I should come & pick it up Saturday morning (this was a few weeks ago). When I arrived to pick up what I thought was my specially ordered cake, they pointed me to the freezer & told me to help myself from the standard selection on offer. Whilst the cake looked beautiful I really felt the texture & flavor (particularly of the chocolate) was compromised by being frozen. I would have thought by going in to order a specific cake three days ahead of time I would have been given a fresh cake!!

We came across French Sin at the fabulous Sunday Markets at Wyeba Road Noosaville. We were collecting our fresh fruit and veges for our 10 day holiday at Noosa and felt like a morning tea break. After lovely French greetings from 2 handsome men, we found that they had a selection of pastries, friands and cake…. but the berry pastries we had were to die for ! Such light flaky pastry, freshly made, with sharp berry filling. On our departure day last Monday, we planned to detour to French Sin for a farewell snack …and they were closed. Such a shame, but many cafes close Monday after being open all weekend etc. Will catch up next year...
