We went to jellyfish tonight and it was a rotton experience . We were greeted by two lovely girls and so it began . Our bottle of red wine came chilled !! Well the weather was warm . Our entree finally arrived and was delicious , oysters and cuttlefish . Then all came to a halt ,one hour later still no main course ? Asked and no answer .finally we paid for what we had and left . May e it was some unusual problem in the kitchen but the manager couldn't explain and didn't really care .

We would have left had it not been for the fact that all the restaurants in the area within walking distance were fully booked.

We went midweek to this lovely restaurant with a view across to the river. We were hungry on arrival so ordered the trio of dips to share while we decided on our mains. They arrived quickly and were absolutely delicious. My companion ordered the Barrimundi for her Main and I ordered the Lamb Special (on Risotto with truffle oil). Her description of her fish was 'Amazing' with a roll of her eyes of pure contentment. My Lamb was exquisite. Tender morsels of lamb that melted in my mouth, the best risotto I have had in years and flavoursome mushrooms and garlic. We had wine by the glass from a comprehensive Wine List, organic juice and great water. We will be back and we will be recommending this restaurant to all our friends.

We decided to go to Jellyfish on the recommendation of a friend but had read the reviews re service etc. Unfortunately we should have believed the reviews. We arrived at 730 and were waved into our table. We decided to BYO and ended up opening our own bottle and pouring our wines. After 15 minutes we had to ask for an ice bucket and a menu. Both arrived (ice bucket sans ice). Eventually our order was taken by condescending waitress who has all the answers but clearly had her favourites in the restaurant, because following the order we were ignored. The other thing we noticed was the procession of people going to the bar to pay their bills. They were obviously sick of the wait! Entree arrived - pork belly for my wife - good and slow cooked squid stuffed with paella for me - not great. We then spent the next hour waiting for main course. Eventually we asked the other waitress who told us 3 minutes. Mains came in 5 - my wife's slow cooked duck was way salty and crusty like fresh out of the microwave. My barramundi was ok but also way salty. For out troubles we got a complimentary wine. But way too late and only after we gave the young waitress the coaching that clearly she was not receiving from the lady supposedly running the floor.

Put simply don't waste your money...and for the constant James Taylor playing all night - time to get out of the 70's!

We traveled up from Northern NSW for our second visit to Jellyfish on the river.
We wondered if it could be as good as our first visit as that was fantastic.
Well once again WOW
The service was very friendly, we felt like old friends.
The food was a delight on the palate
The cost of this experience surprised us, so affordable for such great food and service.
We advise all to not miss out on this hidden gem.
To the owners and staff, thankyou so much we loved it and can't wait to come back again.
