“Hidden treasure in unlikely position”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 15, 2013

A relative who lives in the area put us on to this little gem when we were on holidays recently in Noosa, for a coffee and cake with a difference. This would be a destination that only the locals would know about. Our coffee and cake were very enjoyable and we spent a bit of time browsing through the various delectable products on display. It had a great atmosphere.

“A secret treasure in Noosa”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

Belmondos is hidden in a commercial/light industrial part of Noosa in the most unlikely location, but it is absolutely fantastic. We visited twice and had the very best coffee and food there. From the minute you walk in you know there is something special about the cool environment, the wonderful smell of roasting coffee and the German bakery, and the interesting merchandise on offer. If you're in Noosa make sure you visit- we love this place so much and wish there was something similary in Perth.

“Nice upmarket deli, good place for lunch - somewhat expensive!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 7, 2013

Since the refurbishment, it is a nice place now to have lunch (inside only) or coffee. You get a number and then you can eat/order your food and coffees around the different counters and shop at the same time and then pay at the exit. The coffee can be exquisite or quite dreadful - depending on which beans/roast they use on the day. We had no idea they change the beans daily and ended up with a coffee that tasted like 'old leathery cuban cigars' according to my friend. I brought the coffee back and it was exchanged gracefully. The baristas are knowledgeable and the staff is lovely. To shop for groceries it is incredibly expensive. The French jam I usually buy at Coles for $3.79 is $7.85 here - quite a mark up. Unless it is something special you can't find anywhere else - go for the coffee/lunch experience and do your shop elsewhere. The only exception is the new German bakery counter which is comparatively cheap for really good bread and delicious cakes.
In Noosa this place is a find, in any other more cosmopolitan place - eben in Brisbane for that matter - , this would be your run of the house standard little deli. Nice place to be on a rainy day.
