We arrived in Noosa on New Years Eve with expectations of having a great holiday and the Waterfront Restaurant did not disappoint us. The food was impressive with creative modern dishes and delicious seafood. The attention to detail and service could not be faulted.
A most enjoyable evening capped off with fireworks on the River at midnight.

My sister had her wedding here, only a small party of 12, but the restaurant manager wouldn't even accomodate that! Had organized with functions manager to set up before the 4.30pm wedding & when I arrived at 12pm to do so was told I had to come back at 3.30pm by the restaurant manager (who was her husband) so as not to "disturb" the lunch service, of which there were about 4 tables. He also didnt want me to leave the cake & decorations there as he claimed there was no where for them to be stored (um coldroom perhaphs, office?). After arguing the point with him & calling the bride & groom, I had to leave the set up to the groom to carry out before his own wedding as I had to go back & get ready with the bride. He also promised us an area all to ourselves but proceeded to seat other patrons right next to us even though plenty of other tables were available further away. Just didn't need to be this difficult! What ever happened to hospitality & professionalism??

I was reluctant to return to the Restaurant as last time we visited which was on Mothers Day this year we were not at all happy, with some visitors to town they wanted to try it. We were a table of ten and the only patrons, one guest is Gluten intolerant and the young waiter ran through the menu with her to advise what could be done, she was happy. We placed our orders and a little while later food began arriving, all were satisfied with there food, but it was a long wait until mains appeared, especially as we were the only ones their, nevertheless the experience was better.
This Restaurant is Licensed but does allow BYO wine and corkage is $8 per bottle.

The setting is lovely (if you are facing it) and was the scene for a small and then larger group we lunched with recently. The trouble is the restaurant is set up more as a function centre/wedding venue because of its location right on the river and on both occasions we were sitting facing inwards looking at a rather vast and empty interior. The menu is very Italian but I would describe it as country style with a very rustic leaning - heavily meat based (rabbit, ragu's etc) and didn't suit the warm days and riverside atmosphere. There are no salads on the menu and pizza for some reason isn't available at lunchtime. Overall it was a disappointing experience especially as on the second occasion a wedding group arrived to set up their alter and other stuff on the adjacent grass with no regard for the diners with their chatter and building requirements. On the good side this is one of the only BYO restaurants in Noosa.Overall not worth us returning to, there is so much better here.
