An impromptu Sunday lunch had us heading for the yacht club, but after some surly service and stifling atmosphere (literally) I investigated the restaurant next door (Waterfront) and we decamped to a much nicer venue which was a blessing in disguise. The service was impeccable, the food sublime, and the wine list well considered and reasonably priced. The restaurant is light and airy, and they do all the little things well - like topping up water glasses regularly with ice water which was actually icy cold. Figs and Persian fetta were quality, as was the Barra and flash-fried squid. Beans with soft boiled quail eggs and rabbit terrine with sour cherries were both winners. This place is all class. Do yourself a favour.
