Overlooking the river with a gentle breeze blowing into this predominantly outdoor setting, we enjoyed a wonderful tapas lunch as a set menu with a glass of refreshing sangria.

It is rare that you enjoy every one of the dishes in a set menu but this was the exception.

Prawn laksa was fresh and spicy followed by delicious pork belly with a fresh tasting peach salsa. My favourite was the mushroom and chorizo in a garlic sauce and delightfully followed by the most tender salt and pepper calamari I have ever had. As the food was flowing beautifully we went for a second sangria and asked for the final dish to be slowed down as we were certainly filling up.

My wife's favourite (anywhere) is Peking duck and light pancakes with moist duck and vegetables, it was a finale that did not let her down, as we carefully rolled our own.

The fact we were the only people in the restaurant no doubt helped make the service first class, but one had the feeling that the friendly waitress would have coped with twenty more patrons.

A great way to graze and drink through a lazy afternoon.

Thank Kim M

My friend and I went to iS Tapas bar in Noosaville earlier this month because, funny enough, we had tapas for lunch and wanted more for dinner. We knew we couldn’t return to the same place (Flux, also in Noosaville), so we decided to checkout iS Tapas. The wait staff was very accommodating. They were able to find us seating even though it was a saturday night and they were clearly busy. Although they appeared a bit disorganized when it came to WHO was our server (it changed twice throughout our meal), both the male and female who served us were very friendly.

The sangria was very good; not too sweet and not watered down by an overload of ice as many places tend to fall short. The food was perfectly fine, but most of the portions were too small to share (which is half the fun of Tapas, right?) It was also incredibly overpriced. I don’t understand how a restaurant can charge small plates at entree prices, that seems wrong to me. For the price of nearly $14 a plate on average, I expected more than 4 spoons of pork belly mixed with some mango salsa. I am from America, but I have lived in Australia for two months now so I know how much to expect to spend when I go out to dinner. However, $94 for 3 small plates, a small pizza, and a pitcher of sangria is a bit absurd; especially when we left the restaurant still hungry.

If money is not an object and you do decide to eat at iS Tapas, be sure to order the roasted dates that are filled with cheese. Although you will pay about $12 for four dates, they were incredible and probably the only plate we had that was worth the cost. The restaurant itself has a lot of potential, but their simply “good” food was completely overshadowed by the uneasy anticipation at the bill at the end of our meal. Although my friend and I ordered two pitchers of sangria, it appeared we were only charged for one. While normally we would be so overcome with guilt that we would bring the mistake to the attention of our server, we did not. We felt as though the disorganization of the establishment was to blame, and our feeling of portion-size betrayal backed up our decision.

It is disappointing to learn that your experience with us was not as you had expected. Our venue is a tapas bar, which is different to a traditional restaurant in that tapas are designed as finger food, appetisers and canapé size portions. They All our dishes are big enough to share with friends and family which is always a fun way to eat and something that our customers love coming back for time and time again.

At iS tapas bar we prefer to use the freshest, local ingredients to make our dishes truly delicious and support local businesses! As a result charge what most customers believe is fair and reasonable as opposed to a bar/restaurant that may choose to use imported produce.

Thanks for the kind words about our sangria and our friendly staff- they read all reviews regularly and try very hard to make our customers happy.

2nd visit to this restsurant and this time a bit failure. Walking past saw the paella special with sangria thought we are in thinking last time here the tapas qas good but sadly no. It was a Spanish flavoured risotto that's all. Even then it was stoggey and clumps of rice stuck together. Dud mention how awful it was ti waiter told will pass on to chef and will take some off you account.
When went to oay no nothing came off account and was added to by drinks we did not have. Not good service there.
Should have stuck with the tapas which was ok last time but now look very over priced. Won't go again but will try new tapas place just abit alonf flux looks better.

The food was very average and very over priced for what you got. The staff where friendly but this did not make up for the average food.

Be prepared for long waits at this delightful little restaurant tucked in between others on Noosaville's riverfront. The huge wooden horse at the entrance shows you have picked the right one. Be prepared for a long wait before anyone takes your order, then before you receive your selections of tapas (or main meal) then to reorder drinks or more tapas.Obviously the Spanish theme also applies to dining times. At first we were surprised at how small the servings were especially for the prices, (eg four scallops for $12!) but then found them so delicious and filling that we took to sharing each selection among the group and then ordering more of our favourites. The sticky ribs were fantastic! The online site said $4 a bottle for corkage but we were told we must pay $10 or purchase from the very expensive wine menu so we paid the corkage! However it was a really pleasant evening and as our group also had Entertainment Book Gold Cards which took 25% off our bill it proved very reasonably priced. We almost had the share plates till we realised they would be nearly $90 for two people!!! Without our cards we might have thought it rather expensive.
