We have dined at this restaurant many times now for both lunch and dinner and found it consistently good.
They offer a great range of Tapas dishes which we have thoroughly enjoyed. Their Calamari is one of the most tender we have tasted and their ribs are also a favourite of ours.
Just a great experience all round.
They have also opened another of these restaurants at Perigean Beach which we have yet to try.

We had the dinner tapas which was 8 dishes and each was excellent. Large serves, it certainly filled our bellies! Although licensed the wine is not expensive.

We set off to iS to order the Seafood Paella special for two (Sangria included) but once seated we decided to sample Tapa options instead. At first we thought we were not going to get in as the restaurant looked so busy. But the waiter gave us a choice of seating options including sitting at the bar which was close to all of the activity. And we chose the bar position and that way we got to converse with the young waiting staff who were pretty much all travelling on working holidays. So don't be put off if it looks too busy from the door. Go in and ask.
It was a bit of a challenge choosing tapas from quite an extensive list. Our choices included grilled prawns with lemon, baked scallops, bacon wrapped dates, citrus and ginger chicken thighs and chilli sprats. In hindsight we didn't need the last two dishes. They were an after thought. We ended up spending more than anticipated but that was purely our fault. It's all too easy to just say we'll try one more.
And a bit of trivia. Where did the name iS come from? We were intrigued but it is apparently derived from Ian and son.
We enjoyed our light hearted evening at iS and will add it to our dining out experiences for next trip to Noosaville.

Thank Kiwis-two

Let's face it .....
tapas may taste lovely but it's a way of getting a lot of money from the customer without putting much food on the plate.
If the tapas is tasty and the serving relatively generous, then I'm a happy customer.
When servings are on the small side, I feel cheated.
When servings are minute, I'm just angry.
Obviously the owners are trying to get customers to pay for one of the degustation menus with sangria included.
My husband, daughter and I came in for a quick lunch and weren't prepared to pay that price. Instead, we ordered four tapas meals and a cocktail each.
The food was actually of a good standard but I left this restaurant hungry. My vegetarian husband ordered the "pizzettas" and received three, tiny rounds of bread, cheese and topping each about the size of a jam jar lid... and that is being generous! There was a reasonable amount of calamari yet the sanchoybow was also mean with its serving size.
The owners were taking orders and obviously wanting to chat with those customers buying the degustation menu. We definitely got the feeling we were "second-class" because we weren't doing the same.
Sorry. I have eaten in wonderful restaurants with brilliant reputations and had decent servings and felt welcome.
I won't be back.
Good luck to the owners. The Sunshine Coast in winter can be hard for restaurants.
