My biggest problem was the aircon at night stopped working and the temperature was never what you selected, it was always warm in the room. Also we were only given 1 key cars for the room, when we asked reception for another they said it won't work, but gave us one, and it did not work- why can't they sort this out?

Staff were friendly, it was clean, they helped me arrange airport transfer.

Food was okay, nice wine.

Pool is pretty small but the sea was amazing, pebbles on the beach though.

Rooms facing the pool side do get noisy in the evening and in the morning, but they do have a better view.

After a three hour transfer we eventually arrived at the hotel just before 2am. (on route we stopped at a service station that we beleived to be the drivers cousin. brother or something and waited until purchases had been made by all on the bus before we moved on) Back to the hotel. We had prior booked with our agent a double room with a sea view at an extra charge for this facility. we were taken into a room with a double bed and bunk beds with not enough room to swing the preverbial cat. I went back to the desk and was ignored and then eventually to be informed that I would have to come back at Midday. totally tired we retired. The room was changed 72hours later. Onto the hotel. It is clean but well understaffed. The hotel is essentailly based on Russian and German visitors we found 2 other couples one that were English and one that were Scottish. The staff were as equally arrogant and dismissive to the English as were the German and Russian Guests. If you do end up here be prepared to be pushed aside as queing is not in there vocabulary as is the words please and thank you. The food. Well where can you start I suppose in the first instance this hotel is rated as a five star hotel so first and foremost for a five star rated hotel the food would not manage a single star rating in any good food guide. (they do advertise an Ala carte restaurant but this was closed for our duration of stay) trying to eat in the resaurant is a challenge in itself if you dare as insufficient tables are available for you to eat at and when eventually you can sit down there is no cutlery to eat with and you have to search for it.same goes for cups and glasses. you also cannot get a tea or coffe after midnight as all is closed down hence that we ended out eating at a local restaurant for our meals. Entertainment was advertised and this was ok as long as you wanted to shoot an airgun twice a day or play darts that were held together with electrical insulation tape. the beach bar opens at 11am and they have a snack bar facility which has burger and chips each day as well as salad unfortunately you need to guess what the burger is made of and also that the chef (ha ha) prepares all this on the site and its ready for 10am shame you could not eat it until 11am still it gave him plenty of time to speak to his colleagues and smoke contently away to his hearts content and god forbid if you asked him for something hot as you received the wrath of his tongue. You also need to arise by 5am to get a bed at the beach as you will never get one otherwise same for the pool area at the hotel. They also on our last day ran out of most of the soft drinks and as my wife is diabetic they could not understand that she could not drink what they had left hence buying Diet coke from there shop when I suggested that they should use this stock for the bars what was answered was not repeatable. For an all inclusive hotel this certainly chooses what is included and its not what you expect be prepared to pay for branded drinks ( they do serve local gin and vodka which we would call paint stripper so buy branded on the plane), ice creams, towels for the chairs and any thing else that they can think of on the day. when leaving you can keep your room on and this is charged by the hour. The return transfer is as the transfer out so be prepared. overall be warned this hotel is not a good place to go and I strongly advise to look elsewhere when you want a vacation in this area.

Room Tip: Ask for a room without bunk beds or two extra single beds put in when you are a couple. and families...

No lifeguards at pool or sea. Animation team would not allow children to join in activities all geared up towards Grermans and their children. Staff spoke very little English and were very unhelpful when our son split his eye open on the water slide. No first aid kit at beach or pool and no staff asked how it happened or checked with us on his jnjury . only wanted to rip us off by sending us to private hospital and charge 400 euro to put a stitch in, found out local hospital would do it for £40 and no stitch required. Food shocking........good luck to anyone with children travelling to this hotel who is not German or Russian.

Room Tip: Only tip, don't go to this hotel if you are British

Enjoyed our stay at the Drita, it was our 1st time in Turkey and it meet all off our expectation's. Staff are friendly and helpful even though they didn't speak much English they made an effort and we always got what we needed.
As with this part of the world some aspects are not included in the all inclusive such as the spa.
Even though though there is no holiday rep we walked along the prom towards Alanya and we went to a shop about 5 minutes walk away where a man named Alibaba arranged a trip for us.
We also had a lovely meal out at the blue Hawaii in Malmutler which is about 15 minute walk away and the shopping his good there too.
The food was good. Its very practical for the beech as it has its own tunnel under the road with its own section of private loungers and bar.
A lot of activities and extras such as the shop take Euros so its worth while taking them but if you take sterling the exchange rate there is good and it can be exchanged in malmutlar.
Would consider returning to this hotel and resort.

Well, where do we start.

Transfer : over 3 hours and last stop. Driver got lost a few times.
Well here goes with the Hotel :
Checked in and they were so ignorant toward the English, well the 2 couples that were here anyway as this is dominated by Russians and Germans who were also so rude and ignorant. The restaurant is like a mad frenzy and the food leaves little for the palette, hence spending more money eating out everyday. The inclusive drinks are terrible . Need I go on about this anymore except to say to travel agents, Don, t advertise this place to the english we are hated by the staff and they treat us with total ignorance. As for the russian holiday makers they are rude greedy and basically hate us brits too.If you do venture here then please also be aware that there is little or no entertainment, a Nightclub that was closed the whole of our stay a tv in the lounge area that was never on the tvs in the rooms only have russian, german or turkish channels and wifi only works downstairs. If you have seen the film one flew over the cuckoos nest..that springs to mind for me! What a waste of money..enough said but could go on..and on..

I'd like to share experience of my sister in this hotel. Very nice comments and very nice hotel! And my sister was also happy when she came to this hotel on 13th august 2013. Then she went to two-days excursion on 15th and 16th august. When she came back yesterday in the evening in her room after a rather long way back, she didn't find her underwear on its place!!! in her bag she found things that didn't belong to her!!! somebody was definitely looking for something in her suitcase!!! in bathroom her toothbrush, toothpaste, razor and cream and many other things disappeared, all drawers were empty!!! Her things from the wardrobe were taken out and massed in pocket, all her cosmetics was thrown from her bag!!! When she saw all this she started shaking from anger, she was shocked and afraid to go to her room!!! The worker of the hotel explained it so : WE THOUGHT YOU LEAVED OUR HOTEL! WE DIDN'T KNOW THAT YOU ARE STILL HERE!!! What is this 5 STARS Hotel???? It's a VERY BIG SHAME!!! The holiday of my sister was ruined and all positive impressions turned to negative!!! My sister wanted to speak with a manager, asked who and why was in her room, the manager told that he was there and told to her : What do you want more? you got a toothpaste and a toothbrush and you must be pleased!!! SHAME!!! SHAME!!! SHAME!!! We pay thousands dollars not to hear such a rude answer!!! Dear people be careful and don't go to this hotel!!! This hotel is not for our trust.

Haldun K, General Manager at Drita Hotel, responded to this reviewResponded August 18, 2013

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am quite shocked and disturbed by this account. First, I would like to emphasize that I am the "manager" of this establishment and I did not receive and complaint or spoke to any guest on an issue as described here.

Room assignments at our hotel, as with any other hotel, are made based on the check-in and check-out dates on the voucher of the guest. These room assignments are not altered unless the guest himself/herself asks for a room change.

In the story told in this comment I see a inconsistency. In one part it is said that the room was entered and searched by someone and the personal belongings were disturbed. In the next part it is said that the hotel manager told the guest that the hotel told the guest had left. If the former was the case there would have been a crime report with the local police. If the latter was the case the room would have been cleans out and brought back into the circulation. At the high season we would not leave any room that is considered vacated unused. Furthermore, I, as the manager of the hotel, have not spoken to anybody on a complaint of this kind.

I would like to find out about the specifics of the owner of this comment so that I can make a detailed investigation. Please, send me the voucher no and the name of the guest in question.

However, making unfounded accusations in a public forum is a significant offense against our company and a very unfair act against the hard working members of our team. If we do not receive proper information about these accusations I request that this comment be removed from the site.

Thank you,

Loveley hotel for holidays. Amaizing location surrounded by mountains, not far from Alanaya centre. Hotel staff was pleasant and helpful. Rooms well decorated and clean, with balcony. The room we had was with a wonderful side see view and was very confortable.
The beach was clean, pool to. The food was tasty normally repeating from time to time - all inclusive concept.
Over all nice hotel, would recommend for others.
