Not open this year, which is a shame as we loved eating there in previous year. Hopefully they will be back next year.

The views out over Laganas bay and Cameo island drew us into this taverna. The setting was beautiful but our experience was marred by poor service and food.

We had intended to have just a quick lunch as we wanted to get to Cameo island for the afternoon. However, the starters sounded delicious so we decided to indulge. We placed our order and then waited, and waited, and waited some more...the waitress was walking past and noting our empty glasses but not approaching us to ask if we wanted more drinks. In the end, we asked how long the food would be and she claimed there had been a problem with 'the fire', but then asked what we had ordered. To be honest, I think she'd forgotten about us. The food was then rushed and our starters came out with the mains. It wasn't even worth waiting for - poor quality chicken, bland spaghetti...

While we were waiting, we noticed that they were trying to run a taverna, as well as the buffet station for the adjoining hotel. Personally I think that's a recipe for disaster.

Wouldn't go near Maestro again. We wished we'd gone to the more traditional Greek taverna further down the road. The views were not so stunning there but at least the food might have been better.

On the main street. ate here one night. They were very busy and it took a while for our order to be taken. The food was good,Chicken a la crème was delicious, but the portions were massive, served with sliced potatoe and salad.Unfortunately we couldn,t get the waiting staff,s attention to order more drinks and nobody came to ask if we needed anything. They were really busy though.Prices were slightly above some of the other resteraunts.

We had about 3 hours to "burn" between flights, so we took a taxi to Agios Sostis in Zakynthos, as it's only about 10-15 minutes from the airport.
A typical tourist' restaurant present its menu with photos, and this was the first sign, which included international food, like Pizzas and burgers, but since we didn't have much time, we gave up looking for a more "local" one.
There are two options: buffet and a-la-carte. We chose the 2nd one, as most tourists there chose the buffet. We set on the balcony just above the sea water- the location and sea view worth a lot of food quality to us...
We took some starters- stuffed vine leaves (Dolmedas), fried Zucchini (which were not listed in the menu but we asked for it), Greek salad and Tzatziki. For mais we ordered Mousaka- a Greek "Lasagna" made of minced meat, eggplants and potatoes, with Beshamel gravy. Everything was average- nothing to write home about, but good enough for a quick lunch.
We couldn't drink alcohol, as we were flying right after, but having Ouzo or a beer with the sea in front of you is also good enough.
We paid for this lunch, including a glass of White wine (our flight attendant...), a big bottle of water and two small Sodas only 38 Euros, so it was fair.
