After staying here I was already prepared to give this hotel 5 stars- the location is perfect, close to the port and close to town without actually being in town, the rooms are absolutely charming and clean, full of the character of the island, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and the pool is beyond relaxing with a view to die for. However, after a near crisis for my fiance and I, seeing how the hotel staff came to our aide makes me want to give this hotel 10 stars.

On the day of our checkout we were scheduled to catch a ferry back to Athens because our flight home was the next day. After waiting for 5 hours, our ferry never came due to weather problems, sending me into full blown panic mode since this meant we would miss our flight going home. We went back to the hotel to try to come up with another plan. When we arrived, we explained what happened to Maria, the staff member who was working the front desk at that time, and instead of turning us away because we had already checked out, she went straight to work helping us. She called the port authority to see what happened to the ferry, she called the airport, all the airlines on the island to see if we could book a flight off the island, even our hotel in Athens to call and tell them that we were stuck on the island and wouldn't be there that night. Thankfully we were able to book a flight out the next morning that would still give us time to make our flight home. Maria made sure to set us up in a beautiful room and the next morning when we had to leave at 5am, she was on the phone with multiple taxi companies trying to find a taxi that would operate that early. In the end, everything worked out perfectly and we made all our flights but I can't tell you how grateful we were to Maria for all her help. So many other hotels would have turned us away because we already checked out or simply not cared about our situation but Maria went above and beyond to help us in our time of need and that is something that I will forever be grateful for. Thank you so much Maria and Hotel Olia for your excellent customer service and we hope to stay with you again soon!

If you have ever dreamed of staying in a little Cycladian house, then this is the place for you.
The small complex is just like a Cycladian village with narrow twisting alleys, plenty of steps and flowers. The large rooms are each in their own little "house". All rooms seem to have sea views and look out over the new port, where there is constant activity.
The advertised Wi-Fi was not available in the rooms and was only available intermittently in reception.
It's a twenty minute walk to the town centre and many of the rooms are up steps, so it may not be suitable for the infirm.

Room Tip: If you have difficulty with steps, ask for one of the few rooms that don't involve them.

The hotel was really nice. We only stayed a night there but we really enjoy it. The pool had sea water in and it was great!! The view from our room was magnificent. We didn't even use the aircondition as we had all the windows open and the Cyclades air was really blowing us up. The service was really nice. We booked the room from a tourist agent in the town of Mykonos. The price was really good according to the budget we had. The only bad thing about it was that we went in the room right after the previous guests were in and it wasn't well cleaned. The location also is far from the town and you need to take a bus that takes ages to come and costs about 1.40 Euro and the night rate 1.70

When we arrived by ferry to Mykonos, we were thrilled that our hotel was so close to the port and we found it easy to walk there. There are also two of the best restaurants within walking distance--Matthews Tavern and El Greco. We were a bit dissapointed at how far were from Mykonos Town. Instead of walking the 1.5 km, we rented an ATV and that took care of getting around for a couple days. We spent some time at the pool at Olia and the staff was very friendly and helpful and it was very peaceful to relax there. However, if its your first time, I wouldn't stay here because of the location.

The Olia is a lovely little place, and for most days, particularly when we were recovering from nights out in Mykonos town, we had the pool to ourselves. Don't expect a pool bar waiter catering to your every whim, its not that kind of place. The staff were very helpful and the rooms were, OK, basic. It doesn't matter though if just a place to sleep and change.

The hotel is only 1.5km from the town, but there is no paths and its a dangerous road to walk. The most annoying thing on our trip was waiting for the bus or for a taxi to come past. If you really want party party, then choose a hotel in town or be prepared to fight it out in taxi square every night!!

Loved Mykonos though, and everything about the Island. Definately will go back someday

Hotel is a good location - just a couple of kilometers north of the main port of Mykonos. Upon arriving we were really impressed with the cascading pool out front of the hotel. Staff was friendly, helpful, and expecting us (we booked though a Greek travel agent - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if this is your first time). The room was quaint but had a/c and a tv and the bathroom/shower were decent enough.

We had a couple negative issues with our stay though. The bed in our room was incredible noisy due to the fact the the mattress was simply support by wood slats sitting directly upon the bed frame. We fixed it the following day by laying a blanket over the bed frame and the wood slats on top of the blanket - this significantly reduced the noise. Pillows were flat and there were only two on the bed but we asked for extras.
The continental breakfast was awful - Unless you enjoy Greek hardboiled eggs (just weird tasting) and warm milk for your cereal (which is common throughout Greece). Even the yogurt was sub par. Once was enough.
However in Mykonos, breakfast can easily be substituted for an early lunch or a delicious crepe in the downtown area.
There are better views to be found on the island and we were a bit disappointed with the construction in the morning and some roosters crowing in neighboring lots tot he hotel.

I'd recommend getting an ATV, moped, or rental car for your stay. It does wonders for exploring the island (and you can park out front of the hotel easily). Also there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel for 1.20 Euro.
