We had a beautiful stay in this hotel and would definitely like to come back! I would recommend this hotel to any of my friends or family. The location is just perfect if you like to explore, rent a car or a motorcycle. The island is beautiful, with a lot of nice hidden places, beaches, restaurants,.. The view from the rooms is just stunning every evening..As no children area allowed, it it a great pick for couples. Food was great, rooms nice and clean, staff friendly, beach and the sea clean. For gentlemans - be sure to take long trousers, they are needed for dinner. The program evenings more suitable for older guests, but we didnt mind at all and had our fun.

My wife and myself returned to this hotel having stayed at the hotel on numerous occasions in the past. The hotel is described accurately in brochures/reviews as regards not being suitable for people with mobility issues.
The views are stunning and the rooms are of a high standard
The staff are friendly and helpful especially the restaurant staff
The food is varied and plentiful and everyone should be able to find food to their taste on a daily basis
Having travelled fairly extensively I can say the views from the hotel are quite stunning and the sunsets are beautiful and well photographed.
Another very enjoyable stay at this hotel and we will be returning again next year

Room Tip: Rooms in main block give easier access to pool, restaurant and reception

We have just returned for a week and have thoroughly enjoyed it. Firstly the views are incredible, the sunsets are worth the trip alone. It is very up and down hill but thats the trade off for the views and its not too bad.
We always found sunbeds easily by the pool or on the beach probably down to the time of year we went although it was by no means quiet.
The food was plentiful and there was always plenty of choice, it is served buffet style and the staff worked really hard replenishing food constantly. Of course by the end of the week we were getting a little bored of it but that wasnt because it was bad....more because we wanted a change and we on occasion walked into the village and ate which was lovely. The food at the pool bar was simple but fresh and hit the spot if we didnt fancy a big lunch. Usually sandwiches, baguettes, something warm (spring rolls, chorizo) and then a variety of cakes and always some fresh fruit!
The drinks were hit and miss but i didnt feel they were watered down as some have said.....i thought the cocktails tasted strong and the beer was fine. The wine seemed to be going down well with lots of people and the measures were large!!! I did pay for some cocktails which were not included but was happy to do this. Juice at breakfast was awful, very sweet cordial i think.
The room was spick and span when we arrived and was cleaned daily by housekeeping, had no problem with towels, they were changed when we needed them to be. The only criticism would be the beds were hard as rock but it didnt stop us sleeping, we were just stiff come morning. Cleanliness in general was to a high standard and there were always visible staff doing cleaning, maintainance etc.
The Entertainment was better than i expected...there was something happening every night. At the end of the day a lot of it is what you make it and we made some good friends to have a giggle with which made the quiz great fun, the Il Divo tribute are fantastic.....dont miss this. All in all there were lots of people having a lot of fun every night whether they were in groups or just playing cards as a couple in a quiet corner.
The staff were very impressive in my opinion......99% were more than happy to serve our every whim and they were very friendly. The bar staff in the evening were lots of fun and made a real effort.....most of the staff have been working for long stretches with no day off and did a grand job.
Some say it doesnt deserve its 4* and platinum rating.....this may be so but i tend to judge something on value for money and for what we paid it was fabulous and i would stay there again!

This was our second holiday at this hotel (we spent the same week last year to celebrate our wedding anniversary) and we came back with some trepidation after reading some very negative reviews earlier in the year but we were relieved to find everything was still as great as last year!

The white wine was fine, especially at the Beach Bar where it is nicely chilled - not sure why it doesn't seem to be chilled in the restaurant? The food is varied enough to have a different meal every night (as long as you don't load your plate up with every option each night!). And just because you are on an all inclusive arrangement it does not preclude you from venturing out to sample the wares at some of the fantastic tavernas in the village: Zephyros, Thalassa, Madison Garden, Ark, Stevens on the Hill and Sea Breeze are all superb.

Judging from the number of reviews complaining about the steps to the beach we had a concern that they might have increased in number! But no - they are still the same, a very slight gradient and no problem for any healthy person - there is plenty of space to stop and take in the amazing view if you do find it hard work.

The entertainment is very low key which suits us - we don't need on-site entertainment - we enjoy the short 10 minute stroll to the village in the evenings where there are some lovely bars and tavernas to have a cocktail or two.

The room was spotless - cleaned every day and fresh towels provided each day.

The view from the hotel is amazing - with fantastic sunsets every evening.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Many familiar faces from last year.

Yes there are wasps but they are in abundance all over the island at this time of year - if you ignore them they will ignore you - we didn't get stung at all. It is a shame that it does make eating outside during the day a bit of a nightmare but there are no wasps after dark so we ate outside every evening.

Overall the hotel and the village is a is a lovely place for a relaxed chill-out holiday - we are
already missing it and will be back next year.

Room Tip: Anything within the range 1201 - 1411 all have unobstructed sea views

first of all not up to

First of all not up to Platinum standard. We arrived and were left to carry our cases down 30 steps then get the lift to our room. This was at the end of a very long corrider.Room OK, with stunning views, nice bathroom. To get to the pool we had to walk 50 yards along the corridor get the lift up to the top level, cross over the reception area, get another lift to ground floor then walk down 25 steps to the pool.Pool area pleasant, plenty sunbeds and wasps ! To get to the beach you have walk down 120 steps, not good in the heat.Food was OK but not great. We went all inclusive but could'nt drink the wine and I must have had 10 G &T's a day and did'nt feel as if I had had a drink.Beer was OK.Would'nt go back. Once was enough.Entertainment was a music quiz one night and a Tribute band the next. Not much to do in the village. If you like stunning views and lots & lots of steps get booked up but not for me.

..

Room Tip: ask to be put in the main building to avoid the steps to the rooms. Hotel is in 3 blooks.

This hotel is identified as a platinum hotel. it is however by definition not up to this standard, at best its a 3 star plus hotel. we stayed in a bungalow room which was of a reasonable standard. Room 8202 had wonderful sea views and a view of the resort. the downside being the slopes. previous reviews have mentioned the number of steps, what they have not mentioned, as much is that if you stay in a bungalow room that that you have a very steep incline in order to reach your room , being fairly fit and active I though this would not be a problem I was wrong. having done this over 30 times during a weeks stay it still was a bit of a chore and even more difficult for those less able. The beach and hotel are nice enough and the staff on the whole friendly, there are four bars open at different times, the beach bar being a great place to while away the hours. there were lots of places to sit and enjoy the views . On the negative side myself and my wife are vegetarian we choose this hotel because it specifically mentioned that they catered for this in the brochure, don't be fooled, on the whole this was a mixed bag, labelling was poor , quality varied and some days virtually non existent. it was better than some i have stayed in, but I really expected a lot more. The worst bit was the quality of the alcholol, I have had better mouthwash !! One last thing the wasps were annoying but the mosquitoes were worse and had over 30 bites between us, no wasp stings though.

Room Tip: 8202 but beware the steep walk up hill

we stayed mid Sept after a fantastic cruise on the Thomson Majesty, our room was in the Hotel top floor with great views. Room was cleaned every day by good staff, waking up to the sound of the sea under the balconey was very relaxing. I agree that the walk up the hill to the Hotel can be quite tiring especially in the heat but to be fair it does state in the brochure about the number of steps and hilly location. we found all the staff to be very pleasant, food plenty of choice with a roast on most nights so even fussey eaters could find something to eat, I thought the food was of a good quality and had no issues at all. The wasps could be a nuisance but if you learnt to ignore them they didn't bother you.In a nutshell, lovely hotel ,modern, clean, brilliant views., pleasant staff, ideal place for a totally relaxing break,
Only one negative for me which was the poor quality of the drinks, after being on the cruise with branded drinks, I found the drinks at the hotel a let down to the end of the holiday and ended up going to the local tavernas on the beach front at night which were really friendly and enjoyable, the two nights of entertainment at the hotel were enjoyable, felt it would of had a better atmosphere if music was on the other nights as it seems to suit everyone whatever nationality.

Room Tip: Request a room on the top floor at the hotel which all seem to have stunning views.
