The only reason why I decided to post a review here is because I honestly feel fooled by other chockingly positive comments. Let's be clear, this is a tiny restaurant with a poor buffet. If I'm nice you could argue that the place has some local charm but I feel very generous when I say that as the food was a disaster, the pork was burnt to charkcole and the remaining protein was not much better. The best item on the buffet was the lentils, that might give you an idea. Pricewise this is an absolute ripoff with or without the quality in mind. I just can not understand some of the other comments here, bizarre if you ask me. Go to PKs, wonderful place, awsome food and even cheaper than this nightmare.

I usually avoid buffet dinners, especially when they are part of all inclusive hotels. This one was recommended to us by a local as good relation of price/value.

We gave it a try and indeed it was a very good way to try many different local recipes, such as breadfruit, local fruits as a salad and combined with other local spices, lentils, different fishes cooked in various ways. The starter buffet was rich and for main dish there was an option of meat or fish, grilled on the spot. The dessert was also included, even though there were only two options available (ice cream or a banana cake).

Price was about 30 euros per person, excl. drinks.

Tasty dinner with great grilled fish! Big buffet with plenty of dishes: smoked fish salad (amazing), vegetables, soups, mixed salads.....and grilled chicken, lamb and fish.
Good service by a friendly staff. Reasonable price: average 35-40€ depending on drinks.
Strongly recommended!

We usually avoid buffets but decided to make an exception. Wide selection of yummy salads and the BBQ meat and fish (chicken, beef, snapper and shark) was delicious - best fish we've had so far. Nice atmosphere, all tourists but good crowd and background music. 425 rupees per person includes a small plate of dessert so quite good value and a nice change from normal restaurants... Just eat a light lunch so you come hungry!
Our only letdown was our serving woman who was downright sullen and rude, the owner seemed lovely tho, and other service staff nice so she s not a reason not to visit.

We first visited this restaurant 10 years ago on our last trip to the Seychelles . On our last trip we really enjoyed the meal at Les Lauriers, a buffet barbecue so decided to try it again on our recent return trip. The owner catches his own fish daily an there is an excellent choice of salads and meat. He works really hard mamaging the barbicue all evening. We felt the resturant had a good atmosphere and the evening we went it was full.We really enjoyed the experience of eating here again and it was just as good as it was 10 years previously when we last visited.
