“Un excellent restaurant et un très bon hôtel”
Reviewed April 13, 2012

We have stayed for 3 nights at Les Lauriers hotel in Praslin. This hotel is the best one we had during our overall stay in Seychelles islands. We chose HB (demi-pension) and we had all our dinner in the restaurant. It consists of a Creole Buffet mixing salads and warm dishes. The food is excellent. However, the top of the top is grilled fish. Simply delicious !

“Not good”
Reviewed March 29, 2012

To get to the cafe, you should reserve a table. Eating just a buffet, the quality and selection does not match the price. Grilled not good, especially pork. Raw fish looks not bad, but cooked tasteless. Need to pay the bill at the bar until the bartender to give you attention. I do not recommend, there are a lot better places.

“Best place in Praslin”
Reviewed February 3, 2012

It can be hard to find, but once you are there you can be well rewarded.
Very nice BBQ, buffet, service. Food quality is very high, and all dishes deserve to be tried.
Do not miss it.

“GREAT beautifully flavoured food.”
Reviewed December 9, 2011

We've been many times and have friends also returning to Praslin next week who are insisting on another night at Les Lauriers.
Some restaurants on the island are currently struggling for fresh fish (pirates are keeping the fishermen close to home and what is caught goes to the big hotels). Les Lauriers have their own solution Edwin catches the fish on his fishing charters - so no problem.
Changes to the Creole buffet/BBQ are few and that's fine - as the salads are wonderful, the Octopus or Chicken Curry full of taste and the BBQ fish the best available.
The island's best band, Island Vibrations, play Sunday nights and locals drop in for a drink and a dance - not to be missed.

“Two words: Mango Salad”
Reviewed November 13, 2011

If you eat anywhere outside your hotel, make it here. Even if you're staying on Mahe. No offense to the other places, but this should be the model of how local food should taste. Every dish pops with simple, natural, beautiful flavor. Starting with the sweet-sour-peppery fresh mango salad, papaya sashimi, patol (some crunchy green vegetable), ending with flan and dense chocolate tart, and bread baskets and barbecue in between. The presentation is beautifully uncomplicated and unpretentious, with service that's relaxed and cheerful but still speedy and responsive. It was our best meal in three weeks (including a stopover in Dubai). Well, two meals. We ate there twice.
