Hello everyone, especially to you lot in the bar reading this as Charlie's sets up the evening movie ;). Returned from our second year and the kids are already asking us to return next year. You can't go wrong, V, Charlie, BiBi and Olicka will do all they can to make your stay memorable. The food is great, we ate in several places in Skiathos, and the hotel is one of the best places to eat. In a lovely setting and very well looked after. Don't forget your torch if you venture out in the evening. Thanks again for a fantastic holiday.... Hopefully see you next year

I am writing this at the pool bar waiting for the bus to the airport. Just had a great breakfast. All the food at the pool bar is very good and is served to you by a great team. Vlatko, Bebe, Charlie Olivia and all the rest make sure that you have a great time (the gin and tonics help a bit!).I recommend the Greek night to all!

Just returned from our 4th stay at the Myrtia in 6 years. As always the place is kept fantastically well, beautiful gardens, well kept bar and pool area and quite spacious, clean rooms. Beds comfy as well.Vlatko, Charlie and the beautiful bar sisters Bi Bi and Olivera were on top form and could'nt do enough for you, a big thank you to them all. Will def make a return visit in the not to distant future to see all the friends old and new.

We stayed at the Myrtia for 2 weeks in July and had a great family holiday. V, Charlie and Bibi couldn't have worked harder to ensure we had a great time. Our children Ellie and Alex loved it. Great hotel, rooms and atmosphere. The greek night was absolutely brilliant and the children loved the movie nights. We will definitely be back next year! Alex sends a high 5!

We stayed here for 2 weeks from July 5th this year and wouldnt hesitate to go back. The place is set in the middle of a pine forest and the rooms are surrounded by well kept gardens. We stayed in a ground floor studio with a nice terrace with patio table and chairs. The room itself was very spacious as was the bathroom which had a shower over the bath and shower curtain too (not always the case in our experience in Greece). The room was equipped with everything you would expect for a self catering holiday and was the best weve had in Greece so far (not basic as some have said). The pool and the pool area was lovely. The pool was big and clean with a small one for the little ones and loads of sun beds for everyone.
There is a winding track from the Myrtia through the forest to the main street, supermarkets ,restaurants etc.Its a pleasant 10 min walk but a torch is a must at night for coming back as it is pitch black.Dont be put off though its perfectly safe and actually quite romantic.
The resort itself is fairly small but has enough of everything to cater for most people. The Agustera bar is ideal for breakfast , lunch or a cheeky cocktail later on .The owners are lovely people and the Strofilia is a nice restaurant for your evening meal with great food in nice surroundings.
For getting around the island the local bus service is spot on.They run all day from first thing to 1 in the morning.2 euros gets you from Koukanaries to the main town with all the small beach stops on the way .If you fancy a boat trip The Mamma Mia trip on the Poseidon is great. This goes to Skopelos and is well worth the money. Also this is the only boat which is allowed to stop at the beach below the little church in the film.
All in all we had a great time here and would recommend the Myrtia to anyone. Its laid back , peaceful and ideal for couples or families.Go on get it booked.

We stayed at the Myrtia for two weeks from the 10th july, this is the third year we have returned. It was great to go back and see that the familiar faces were all there. All the staff are so friendly and go out of their way to make your holiday special, the staff at the restaurant, bar and pool work long hours seven days a week and are always smiling and welcoming - especially Vlatco, Charlie, Bibi.
Vangelis and his team are always on hand for any maintenance that need doing and smile and greet you too. We stayed in room 126 which was a downstairs room which was shaded during the day so it was unnessecery to purchase the air con option. The room was cleaned every day with replacement towels and bed sheets. The room kitchen facilities are good and it is possible to cook and eat in regularly but the Myrtia restaurant produces a good choice and quality of dishes and there are also lots of eating places in Koukounaries worth trying, so you may find you eat out quite a bit.
The Myrtia is set back off the road in the pine forest so there is no noise from cars, the only thing that may disturb your sleep could be the owls.
Skiathos is a lovely island, there are plenty of places to walk and loads of beaches to try out, we were surprised how green the island is, and the dog sanctuary is worth a visit. There are numerous boat trips to choose from.
I think most of this has been said before but it is sincerely worth a high rating, we will probably return next year too, finances allowing.
Book early to avoid disapointment.
