This hotel totally exceeded our expectations - which were already high from previous recommendations! The views took our breath away! The sunsets from the poolside and terrace and especially the White View restaurant were just wonderful! Beautiful clean pool, swimming under oleander trees. We chose half board and would do the same again as there was a wide range of hot and cold buffet style food which was of good quality. If you want to be more adventurous in the evenings you can easily walk to a good number of local bars and restaurants but we preferred the peace and tranquility of the hotel.
On a day to day basis, the service was fantastic in all areas, but on my birthday the staff went the extra mile to make my it wonderful! Complementary wine and fruit in our room; Tom the concierge helped my husband make it really special by ordering flowers which the waiters brought to me at my birthday meal and arranging that they sang happy birthday to me in Greek.
Easy travel on the bus to Skiathos town and also to various beautiful beaches and you can go further afield by hiring a jimny.
We are already planning our next trip as we found it a really warm and welcoming experience!

Room Tip: If you want to spend any time in your room choose one with a sea view. They come in a range of options and you can scale the price of your holiday up or down depending on how much of a priority the view / balcony is. There's lots of opportunity to soak up wonderful views from the hotel itself so don't worry about the room. When we stayed we couldn't put the singles together so you may want to check if there are any double beds

We have just returned from a brilliant holiday at the Skiathos Palace. We were a bit concerned to say the least after reading many negative reviews on trip advisor but we decided to go for it and take a chance. I am so glad we did! From the moment we arrived we were very impressed, the staff were friendly, helpful & couldn't have done more for us. Tom greeted us on arrival and couldn't have been more welcoming.

We travelled with out 22 month old (very busy) daughter who absolutely loved it. The pool was clean and spacious for her to play and the play area well exceeded our expectations with swings, slide and play houses. We spent most evenings with a glass of wine sat watching her play with the other children.

The location is also ideal, it's position on the hill top makes for amazing views but the hotel shuttle buses mean the beaches are still accessible. We managed to get the push chair down to both Maratha beach and Koukounaries beach. A couple of bumpy hill to negotiate but nothing to bad.

We upgraded to an exec room which was lovely with a large balcony and amazing views! we walked around a lot of the hotel and couldn't see any bad points picked up in other reviews we had read? We think we got a sneaky peek at the superior rooms, which also looked a perfectly good standard.

We were half board and breakfast and evening meal were both very impressive with plenty of choice and variety.

We really couldn't fault this hotel and would recommend it to friends and family.

Room Tip: Go for an Executive room, the view alone is breath taking!

We have just returned from a Great Stay at the Palace, Normally we do not write reviews but just had to in this case, We noted in a past review that Tom the hotel Rep was not given a good press by one review in particular, well we would just like to set the record straight as we think we know who wrote that review!!, 2 young women obviously brought up in the "Compensation Culture" we sat beside last week at breakfast and we overheard the conversation they had with Tom,
On Sunday evening we had the biggest storm Skiathos has seen for over 50 years so we were told, it was a great sight and we lost power in the hotel for 4 or 5 hours, we believe the hotel was struck by lightening, The 2 ladies asked the next morning if there would be compensation for the storm!! we could not believe it!! The hotel done a great job in the circumstances even getting all the food ready for the 7pm buffet, all the bell boys were around with torches to help people to there rooms and a couple of days later we received a bottle of wine from the hotel for the inconvenience!! brilliant,
As far as the staff are concerned they were all fantastic, Tom was always around to give advice about the island, the reception was excellent, the waiters were great, all the staff would go out of there way to help, the view from the pool bar was the best, Maratha beach (hotels beach) was excellent, great music and staff also even if we did have to pay for the beds,
So in summary do not listen to the negative people who post on here, the hotel is fantastic, I would just say do a little research before you go, not for people with walking difficulties because of the steps, and get the right room although lots have been refurbished this year...

We couldn't believe some of the reviews we read about this Hotel. We arrived to be greeted by a representative of the hotel who spoke excellent English probably because that's exactly what he was very helpful and very cheerful. Our check in was speedy, our cases taken to our rooms and the room was lovely with a nice view of the sea. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices and the young lady who made the omelettes for you was very pleasant and made me plain ones. The pool area is lovely with the most fantastic view of KookOonares Beach and Bay. Great sun beds too .there are lots of steps but that information is in the brochure so no surprise there. The bus stop for Skiathos Town is outside the hotel and cheap only 2euros to get into town. There is a little mini bus to take guests down to the beach. We stayed bed and breakfast so cannot comment on evening meal but guests we spoke to said they really enjoyed it. There are lots of beaches you can walk to and some nice walks through the pine forest. We rented a jeep for 2days and explored the Island. The tavernas in Skiathos town are really good we preferred the Old Port. There are some good Tavernas in KookOonares within 15 min walk from the hotel. We had a really lovely time here and a big thank you to Tom for sorting out any little queries we had. Will be back!!!

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view room

Stayed for a week in June and found the welcome from Tom (English rep) and staff was the best we had in 45 yrs of travel. The views from the room and pool/bar area are nothing short of spectacular. We spent most nights with a bottle of wine on the "top deck" watching the fantastic sun sets and beach lights. Tom is a mine of information on Skiathos and he was always available to give advice and help. On the "down side" I got quite annoyed about the number of smokers in the eating areas and the steep hill to the main road. They do however run a very good shuttle service to the town and both beaches. Buffet meals were varied and good except for the breakfast eggs which were under-cooked and luke warm. We would have liked some evening entertainment but were fortunate to get involved in a Greek wedding at the week-end .
