Booked for first evening as staying in Mandraki Village Hotel and my wife and I were delighted with choice, quality , portions and presentation of the food. Octopus starter was excellent, as was the Grouper, and Black Ink Squid Risotto to follow.
However we brought friends here later in week having told them how good it was, only to find half the menu wasn't available, either out of season or run out. Having a small choice on the menu is fine but if half is unavailable they should at least have a specials board as alternative.
As it was two of us had Bream which was overcooked and very small and eithers had equally disappointing dishes.
Lovely setting and good service but let down by lack of choice.

Slightly more expensive than other restaurants in Skiathos but well worth a visit, tried the grouper fish and it was really tasty in fact all 3 courses of both our meals were delicious.

Tried this restaurant towards the end of our trip and so only had chance to eat there twice, but we wished we had tried it sooner. The food was beautifully presented and tasted great. The lamb shank was particularly good and I could have happily worked my way through the pudding menu - the panna cotta was divine. The staff were attentive but low key. Prices were only a little more than the average Taverna but the quality of the food and surroundings were significantly higher. On our second visit, there was live music from a duo (guitar and singer) which fitted the gentle setting perfectly and didn't "take over" the evening.

They asked us to choose from 3 main dishes only, we chose the 2 of them, that was good overlooking but nothing else: non fresh meat and chicken, stale !, that i am sure that was for a long period in deep freeze before cooked !

Fresh, imaginative light cuisine. Good variety and superb service with reasonable pricing. The grilled calamari were soo good we had them several times.
