Had a fantastic time. Excellent location, good accommodation. Would recommend getting air con 40E a week if you have an apartment With bed upstairs. Safe is 10E a week. manager was very good, not over friendly but always approachable and friendly. shower head broke and he was ready to replace immediately. would defiantly go back!

Track through forest to Mandraki Ellis at the back, best beach and bar. Just what you go to Greece for, 20 min steady beautiful stroll.

Bus stop to then 2 mins away and 2 Euros.

Booked with Monarch and repped by Cosmos but Olympic use it too.

We stayed here for a week end of June, and had such a wonderful time, beautiful setting near the Forrest and lake.

To the left of the hotel is Captain Mikalis which does a yummy fish platter, the owners father is really friendly and even calls you in during the day for a ouzo!

To the right is various restaurants and hotels, we ate at Stripholia with the twinkly nights - food was ok but not great, Panorama hotel was good value- service a little slow but makes a real evening of it and the wine is delicious!

Noula/ Sunset restaurant itself was very good - we recommend the BBQ on Friday and also the lamb kleftico and souvalaki was good.

Room- we had 108 garden terrace, lovely room with basic cooking area and fridge. We had aircon 40 € pw, but it was necessary as room quite cool with blinds closed and windows open. Unfortunately some of the neighbours had breakfast quite early so hard to sleep with the window open! Really peaceful setting with Sparrows flying up to the table for crumbs. Free wifi at hotel.

The hotel is surrounded by many pretty beaches each with different characters. We absolutely loved it! Can't wait to go back!

We are new to Tripadvisor, but not new to Skiathos or the wonderful Sunset apartments.
Our first visit to Skiathos was on a recommendation from family in 1991 and we've been back every year since then.We first stayed at Sunset in 1992 and that initial experience, together with the fantastic welcome has seen us return every year.
This year was no exception, we have grown to know the owners very well and are treated more like family than tourists, and have watched other guests develop a special affection for Sunset and its owners and staff over the years, most of whom return every year, like us.
The rooms are immaculately clean and roomy, the pool area is equally as clean and very well maintained with free sun loungers and umbrellas, and although only 100 yards from the main road and 150 yards from the supermarket there is no outside noise whatsoever, just the birds in the surrounding trees.
The food is excellent ... a simple menu, or if you prefer there is an a la carte evening menu, all cooked and prepared by Vasilis, a brilliant Chef who doubles up as barman and resident comedian.
As you may have gathered we love the place and its people, and would wholeheartedly recommend Sunset to anyone wanting a relaxing yet thoroughly enjoyable holiday in Skiathos.

My eleventh visit to Koukounaries but my first stay at Sunset Apartments. What a difference from my previous venues!

Sunset Apartments has, over the years, been carefully and thoughtfully developed into this unique family run holiday destination. If you are looking for a peaceful location where you will be made more than welcome by friendly people then Sunset is just the place for you

The entrance to Sunset is situated just off the main bus route; however there is little traffic noise as the accommodation is far enough from the road to enjoy the pine forest as a back drop. The air conditioned rooms are spotless, with plenty of coat hangers in the wardrobe. The bathroom was a modern wet room and the towels were changed frequently. The well equipped kitchen included a large fridge/freezer, hot plate and small oven, kettle and a comprehensive selection of crockery and cutlery; we also enjoyed a large veranda with the customary table and chairs.

The pool is cleaned at least three times a week making it grime and slime free, the design is such that the absence of dead bugs floating on the water made swimming a joy; the pool surround sported numerous large umbrellas and table to every two matching padded sun loungers. The lawns are neatly mown and tended as are the flowers, fruit trees and vegetable gardens.

The well stocked Bar provides both lunch time and evening menus. Nothing is too much trouble and if you don’t see it on the lunchtime snack bar menu just ask and if it can be done it will be.

The evening menu is very reasonably priced and the food, including traditional Greek Cuisine is plentiful and well presented. In my opinion the chef produced possibly the best Kleftico I have ever eaten. Do give the BBQ a try on Friday evenings; you will be offered as much as you can eat of a variety of freshly cooked meats and salads and is excellent value.

You will find a supermarket just outside the main entrance to Sunset on the main road, there is also a car hire place and a surgery which opens most evenings as well as many Tavernas, the one which I would recommend is Big Bad Wolf.

There are obviously numerous beaches to explore on the Island the nearest being Koukounaries, which is just a short walk from Sunset; there you can hire two sun beds and a ‘brolly for 8 Euros a day. However if you venture half way along the beach you can hire just a sun bed for 3 Euros. My only criticism being the music blasting out from the Tavernas situated along the beach but that’s probably an age thing.

Got back last week from yet another fabulous 2 weeks at Sunset, the standards set by the family who own / run the Hotel are outstanding. They are courteous, welcoming and very friendly towards all guests, especially newcomers. Spotless spacious rooms with air conditioning and safe ( optional ) great pool with free beds. Soft music from the pool bar and a great menu selection from simple snacks to a la carte. If its not on the menu, ask Vasilis the Chef and he will have whatever you want by the next day !!!!!! Everyone I spoke to who was staying at Noula / Sunset has either booked or is thinking of booking for 2013 .... we've already done it !!!!! Highly recommended.
