The Peking House sits at the top of two grand staircases one either side and under cover but open to the street that you over look, great to sit and watch the world go past, When we arrived there was a long table with a wedding party on about 15-29 people they were happy (so a shotgun had not been employed) we went in and took a table directly over the street with views of the sea, The waitress gave us one menu between us saying that they only had a few menu's? we ordered thinking that we would have to wait due to the wedding party and the fact that more people were coming in and most of the tables were filling quickly, it appeared that there were only three staff including the chef! they were so efficient with one taking orders and serving and another serving and cooking and the chef it was impressive the food was fantastic so freshly cooked and ample portions just the most delicious food.
hilst efficient and friendly the waitress was rushed off her feet getting all the meals out and running the bar so I went to the bar to pay rather than let her come to us as she had enough to do, she told me that they had actually CLOSED for the season and thats why there were only a few menu's but opened for the wedding party as a favour not expecting anyone else to turn up! she said I haven't even had time to change my YELLOW FLIP-FLOP'S
this place was packed and I'm not surprised as the food was great the atmosphere great and the people delightful and all at a very reasonable price.
