We stayed in Marfel's Lodge on our trip to Batanes last January. We were a group of 6, 5 adults and 1 kid. This house has 2 rooms, each room can accommodate 3 people. Since we're 6, we had the whole house to ourselves. If you'll ask me if I'll stay in a hotel or in Marfel the next time we'll be in Batanes, I'll choose Marfel in a heartbeat. We had the whole living room, dining and kitchen plus two toilets with hot/cold shower.
You'll never go hungry at Marfel because there is a mini-Honesty store that Ate Fe set up, it has mineral water, chips, chocolates, juices, noodles and canned goods. You can cook at their kitchen, microwave, coffee maker, gas stove are readily available (there is a minimal charge for use of gas).
Another advantage of Marfel is that it's just a 5-minute leisure walk to the airport. We don't have to rush if we'll be late for our flight because we can hear if our plane has arrived already :).More
