“Not a family hotel”
Reviewed August 23, 2013

We visited this hotel on our honeymoon luckily we didn't bring the child with us, there is NOTHING for them to do at all. The hotel doesn't have entertainment other then a friday night and which to be honest is shocking.
It's in the middle of no where there for everything is so expensive. You are not aloud to drink shop brought drinks around the pool area as you are expected to pay there prices.
The food is horrid 1meat 1 fish choice with salad and chips. We ate here once and travelled by bus or taxi to eat the rest of the time. If you like to walk there isn't anywhere to walk to.
The scenery is fantastic with a LITTLE beach down lots of steps.
The rooms are very basic our shower didn't attach to the wall and no plug to take a bath you had to hold it to shower. Cleaning is minimal (they make the beds that is all)
I am far from " stuck up" we usually visit 2-3* hotels all inclusive with 3 children and to this place they are the ritz.
Air con is a bonus tho as the best thing about this holiday has been the fantastic heat although we have been ate alive by Mosquitos.
I honestly can't see why this Hotel has had some fantastic reviews. I am just glad my children where not there it would of been holiday from hell.

Nice hotel, clean and proper bathrooms with a full sized bath which is very unusual for Greece! All the staff were wonderful and very friendly. Especially in the restaurant. We were half board and the food was nice enough but very much the same each night. There are not many other places to eat nearby wouldn't recommend it for family's either as there is no entertainment for the children. The area itself is nice but just very quite and out of the way of everyone and everything. The aeroplanes are a novelty and only really noisy when your out the hotel is very well sound proofed.

We booked this as a last minute holiday with our two adult daughters. We love planes so the location was ace but even if you don't, the noise of take off only lasts 20 seconds or so and it wasn't that often to be a problem. The hotel staff were pleasant and Liz was fantastic. Location great for a one week stay, food was ok, cooked and presented well but not much variety. Told management that it would be a lot better at breakfast if they invested in a better toaster and a proper coffee machine! Didn't put on weight which was good! Rooms a little tired (top floor over looking pool) but clean, The bars at Kanoni were lovely and the view great. Corfu town of the bus was a doddle and cheap...only down fall was that the buses stoipped running at 10.45 to get you back to the hotel which was way too early for holidays so we got a taxi back which was only 10 euros. Weather was too hot but we're not complaining! Pool lovely and clean and because its not a tourist hotel, it wasn't full of screaming kids...just a few families and adult groups. Corfu town on an evening was buzzing and they had a folk dancing festival that we hadn't realised was on until near the end but we enjoyed what we saw. All in all we had a lovely time and met some lovely friends and would go back to this hotel if we wanted a quick week away.

Room Tip: If you like planes rooms on the top floor!

Had a lovely trip to Corfu with our two boys who are 17 and 11. I will start with the positives:
1.The pool- simply beautiful
2.The staff very friendly especially Liz who is just lovely
3.Hotel exceptionally clean even the pool side toilets
4. Good selection of food, lovely bread!
5.Near to the airport only 10 min
no long transfers and sitting on the balcony at night looking at the planes landing is fun to see
6.bus into Corfu town frequent and only at 1 2 euros for a return last bus is at 11 and if you get stranded only 12 euros for a cab
6.Captain George next door amazing food!
Negatives
1.The rooms are clean but abit dated
2.Rooms had air con but they weren't very cool.

Overall I recommend this hotel if you would like something family friendly and away from the hustle and bustle.

Ok hotel with rooms liiking to Corfu airport. The runway is 500 m from the hoteland every olane landing or taking off sounds like it's in the room! Lower middle class family type of hotel not at all interesting for a late twenties-early 30 cupple.

The Hotel Ariti used to be a basic style hotel and was very popular as far back as the beginning of the 80s when Kanoni used to be one of Corfu's thriving resorts. I worked as a rep for Blue Sky and it was one of the hotels that the company used. I returned to Corfu in 2006 after 25 years and it was almost like time had stood still. It was very much the same, and even one or two of the staff from those days still worked there! I was told that the hotel was to undergo major development the following year, and am pleased to see it has been renovated and upgraded. Sad in another way that it has become far removed from the Ariti of old. Oh those were the days, when Kanoni was buzzing, the Corfu Holiday Palace opposite the Ariti used to be the Corfu Hilton, and Roger Moore and crew stayed there whilst filming For your Eyes Only. We used to share the same taverna, Zorba's, to eat in the evenings and a friend who had come to visit sat drooling over him!

Me and my wife was there between 21st-28th of July. The location is very good. Bus stop is in the front of the hotel, so you can go easily to Corfu Town. It is a market near the hotel and a lot of tavern's are very closely. The beach is at 10 minutes walk. We loved also the airplanes that was landing near the hotel. The noise was not annoying. Another strong point of this hotel was the food. I loved it. I liked the breakfast even was the same every morning. I liked the dinner because they surprised us every day with some specialties. Everything that was cooked had a very good taste. The stuff of the hotel was very helpful and nice. The rooms was large enough and clean. The towels was changed every day.The pool is also very good. What can I say in the end is that we recommend this hotel to everyone.

Room Tip: I think rooms from fifth floor has beautiful views over the lake and airport.
