“Good Hotel!!”
Reviewed July 29, 2012

We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights on July 23rd and we couldn't fault it. It was quite strange really, the place is big and it seemed so quiet! It seemed there were about 30 people staying there.
Pool area is lovely with a great bar that serves good food and very very easy to grab a sun bed.

Unfortunatley on our first night we were woken by a horrific screaming child next door to our room.
After breakfast (which is also very good!!!!) we went to reception to complain and to be moved.
To our delight they were most accomodating and moved us to a suite at the othe end of the hotel, Excellent!

The plane noises didn't bother us as the rooms are double glazed, but if your into that sort of thing you can walk 2 mins up the road and watch the planes land and take off from the cafes which give a beautiful view of Mouse Island and the Monastary. Just up the stairs from there is Starbucks and a great Sushi restaurant called Kakutsi, you must try!!

20 metres from the hotel is the supermarket where you buy your bus tickets for €1.10. The bus stop is right outside the hotel where you can jump on every 20 mins and will take you straight to Corfu town (15/20 min ride), we did this a lot as the town is beautiful! Especially in the evening. The last bus home is at 10pm so you can dine out in the town and get home cheaply. Taxis cost €10.
Just up from the supermarket is "Captain George's Restaurant" this is a must as George is a lovely funny man, along with his great staff and lovely Greek traditional food you will not be dissatisfied.

Room Tip: Ask for a room looking over the pool, gives a great view of the runway.

We booked into the Hotel Ariti for one day at the end of our weeks holiday. Our flight was at 2.50am and the hotel we stayed in next door which is the Corfu Holiday Palace were unable to extend our room (despite saying on the day before our departure that they would!!!!) The Ariti were happy to oblige and despite being a 4 star not a 5 star I have to say that we found the hotel far more charming than the higher rated Holiday Palace.

Yes the room was smaller, yes the pool didn't quite look as clean BUT the service was exceptional, the food was gorgeous, the towels were fluffy, etc etc. We were able to get sunbeds easily at 11am (see my review on the Holiday palace where if your towel wasn't out at 9am you were out of luck). They asked us if we would like to join the Argentine Tango dance class during the evening which is held in the hotel each friday evening and were helpful and extremely friendly throughout. The hotel and room were spotless.

The gentleman on reception was courteous and helpful and called us a taxi at 1am and even chased us out to the taxi with complementary bottles of water and orange juice.

Oh, how I wish we had stayed at this hotel for the whole week rather than the other one. We were treated as valued customers even though we were only there for such a short time.

Room Tip: I haven't rated the sleep quality/fitness centre of room service as we were there for such a sho...

Myself, grown up (nearly) son! and teenage daughter got together and had a short break at the Ariti. We chose this hotel as we only had four days and were trying to holiday on a budget.

The hotel is lovely. I can't understand why anyone would grumble. The rooms were freshly decorated and spotless. The t.v. is old style with only cnn for brits but who wants flatscreen when in Corfu? The pool is obviously newly refurbished and extremely safe for little ones. The pool base has an anti slip surface. Again, cleaned every day and spotless. Reception is lovely with a lovely relaxing sun terrace and a nice bar, all refurbished. Ideal for relaxing, no loud music, dire entertainment or bingo but there was salsa dancing and a group of Greek gentlemen were enjoying the football.

We went half board and breakfast was perfectly acceptable, dinner was freshly cooked and tasty.

We had a fantastic view of the runway from our room, it must be quite unusual to sit on your balcony and watch the planes take off and touch down! Some children would love this. It wasn't a problem as planes stop during the night and are not that frequent.

A pleasant stay and very convenient for the lovely Corfu town. 5 mins on the bus.

the hotel has some good views but at the same time it is a bit far from the city though buses run every 20 mins. the corridors were dark (maybe for economy reasons) and the lights in the bathroom were also very dim. although there was WiFi in the room it never worked - you had to go to the lobby. the switch of one of the side lamps next to the bed was not working, had to unplug it to switch it off and you couldn't switch off all the lights from the bed. it's a bit old too, but clean and tidy otherwise.

The hotel is in a perfect location at Kanoni, opposite the Corfu Hilton, and just 5 minutes from Mouse Island. Trouble is, the airport runway goes past the bottom of the garden, and this can be noisy. Staff are ok and food leaves a lot to be desired

The hotel is not far from the city center and there is a bus stop in front of the hotel entrance (ticket cost is 1.10€ at 2011) which is convenient. The hotel is really close to the airway which is not so bad. From the veranda you can watch the landing and take-off which is nice. We had a room to the road (our choice), not to the pool and the noise from the airplanes did not disturb us at any time. The room was nice and it had a bathtub instead of shower, which i prefere. The breakfast buffet was ok and the dinner buffet was good. It had 3 kinds of salad, cheese and 4 or 5 different main dishes with an accompanying.
Νevertheless, we would like it to be cleaner. The day we arrived we found some hair at the bathroom and it did not seem that it was cleaned with chlorine. Our veranda railings were not cleaned during our stay so we could not lean on them. Finally, there was not a small rope or something to put on our beach clothes.
In total, it is a nice hotel, recently renovated, with a swimming pool and a nice view but it needs a small step from beeing really good.
