Firstly I believe the reports on the Stella Village are a mixture of Stella Village "poor" and Stella Palace "good". We stayed at the Stella Village from 11th - 18th September. To clarify - the good at the Village - staff are friendly and helpful, rooms and public areas are spotlessly clean. The bad however outweigh the good. The food at the Village is very poor, greasy and cold, and if you are fussy eater forget it! The drinks are limited to soft drinks (not diet, so if you diabetic like me again forget it) beer, wine, ouzo, raki and brandy. If you want vodka etc it will cost you 5 Euros.
However we asked about an upgrade for the all inclusive element only at the Palace Hotel which we were able to do for 20 Euros per person per day. This was an unexpected extra expense but believe me it was well worth it. The food at the Palace was fantastic, varied, hot and had something for everyone. The drinks included local brands of vodka, rum, etc and the cocktail of the day.
I would not go back to the Village but would love to go back the Palace.
