One of a row of four or five tavernas in Porto Koufo, this one is a cut above with super fresh produce, excellent service and reasonably priced. Don't hesitate if in the area.

We were 4 people. the thing is that it wasnt as crowded (nearly half full) and it took for the first dish to come 40 min!! we ordered sardines and we waited at our chairs for 40 min to eat. .. Except that, the prices were very high not according to the standards of the tavernas at Porto Koufo to a meal not so special afterall. The octapus was the worst i ever eat.. i dont advice you to eat there, you better try the other tavernas at Porto Koufo.

We visited the taverna upon the recommendation of a friend and we were pleasantly surprised. We did not order a big fish, but instead we tried steamed mussels, grilled sardines, kalamari and octopus. All dishes were excellent, the portions were generous and reasonably priced. The deserts at the end were on the house. Definitely recommended for anyone staying in the area of Porto Carras, Sithonia either in the evening or at lunchtime, soaking in the beauty of Porto Koufo.

We went there in August 2013 for lunch. we were 6 pax and wanted to have fish. they proposed us a 2,250 kg sea beam at 65,00 per kilo. Being Greeks and knowing what the market was offering in fish taverns in Greece and in Athens from where we were coming from we told them that they were more expensive than other fish tavern in Athens. Their reply was "what Athens has to do with it? order a cheaper fish or come back in September!!!!!!" We decided to stay and we ordered the sea bean fully aware that it was a rip off since we were ordering this in a fishing village but we didn't want this incident ruin our mood. the fish was nicely cooked and the side dishes (salads) were tasty as well. Deserts were on the house. If only they could skip this "take it or leave it" old fashioned tourist approach mentality...This is definitely NOT the way to approach customers!!!!!!!!!!
