Had been looking forward to Skiathos for a long time and it lived up to what I had hoped. Lovely little Greek Island, not spoilt by tourism.
As for the Boudouriani, all public areas/rooms are kept very clean and tidy, the sunbeds are the best ever and the bar is a good meeting place to get to know other visitors.
The rooms are fine and the balconies (really spacious), overlook the garden/pool area. The family work very hard between them and the gardener!
There are only 17 rooms so it is a relatively quiet place in late Aug/early Sept. Everything is on your doorstep - bars/restaurants/supermarkets/cashpoint/bus stops!! It is so easy to get round this part of the Island thanks to the buses, you can't go wrong!
The road noise can be a bit intrusive at times but other times you could hear a pin drop ..... try it, you have nothing to loose!!

Room Tip: Room 22 overlooks the garden/pool area but there is a palm tree in front of the balcony. This is ac...

This was our first visit to both Skiathos and the Boudouriani Apartments in Troulos. I can highly recommend this accomodation.Christos, Sofia, Ilios and Paris are a wonderful Greek family. The sunbeds by the pool are the best I have ever seen and used, so comfortable. Everything is so clean and spotless. Full English breakfast, drinks and snacks are offered at very reasonable prices. The greek night on Sundays is great with delicious BBQ and greek dancing. The accomodation is also in central Troulos with bars, supermarkets and restaurants all at hand & the lovely sandy Troulos beach. Our favourite restaurant was the Nectar Ambrosia. Buses run from Skiathos town and harbour right along to Koukounaries for only 2 Euros each way.

This was a fantastic holiday that I completely enjoyed; we spent two weeks in Troulos. The food during the day at the bar is top notch and great value. (I would recommend the kebabs) the family who run the apartments and other guests are friendly and me and my family have made good friends from our returning visits there. The rooms were very very clean down to the fact that our sun tan sprays were rearranged neatly on the table! ;) the weekly BBQ with greek dancing is excellent fun and Sophia's lemon potatoes are to die for!! Christos, Sophia, Paris and Ilias make you feel very welcome throughout your whole stay and I would defo recommend these apartments and this resort to anyone and every one, be it couples, friends or families.

Like everyone else who is new to the Boudouriani we looked at all the reviews before booking. We are seasoned Greece travellers, so no looking through rose tinted glasses here. This property is in dire need of up dating, we had draw fronts hanging off, draw bottoms that would fall out if anything was put in the draw, wardrobe backs hanging, the door onto the balcony that wouldn't shut, the tatty state of the bathroom etc etc. Before i hear the cries thats typical Greece, no its not. Most accomodation in Greece is basic, but recently there has been a shift to make things a little more modern. I'm afraid the Boudouriani is still in the 90's. A lot of the reviews speak about how clean things are and whilst mainly i agree, the towels in the room aren't changed as often as some reviewers have said and also one of our towels had yellow stains all over it!!! Also at the end of our 2 week stay the pool was very cloudy and certainly hadn't been cleaned during our stay. There is an awful lot of returning customers to this property, i feel you need to get out more you will be surprised what is out there.

On the plus points Troulos has a lot of quality eating places and Skiathos is an Island worth visiting, Skiathos town is a fantastic place to visit.

Overall an excellent relaxing holiday.

If you're looking for a 4 or 5 star luxury hotel this is not for you. But if you're looking for 2 to 3 star simple basic accommodation with a lovely pool & sun loungers together with a reasonably priced, friendly pool bar this is for you. The only slight downsides are it's location right on the main Skiathos road means it can be a bit noisy with the buses, one of the gates dangerously opens directly onto the main carriageway of the road and a fairly dated shower that you have to hold. However the positives far out weighed the negatives for us. The family who own the hotel couldn't do enough for you - they even bought us brand new mattresses when they heard we had had a restless night's sleep on the first night! Homemade sandwiches and breakfasts were lovely.

Room Tip: Rooms 17, 18, 19 and 20 are all ground floor overlooking the garden and pool

Been to this fantastic place a few times now and looking forward to going back a third time in September.
A warm welcome awaits you from Christos, Sophia, Ilias and Paris who do their very best to make your holiday a memorable experience that's why so many people go back time after time.
Rooms are nice and clean and the gardens and pool area are spotless.
Food is available by the pool area and is second to none and is prepared by the lovely Sophia and Paris.
At night you can chill by the bar and be entertained by the multi talented Ilias who's cocktails are legendary.
Happy times had by all and made some brilliant friends here

Like many others, this is the second time that we have stayed at the Boudouriani, and we are glad to say that nothing has changed in 2 years !! The holiday was just as enjoyable as last time, and we were so surprised when we arrived that Paris remembered how we liked our Greek salad!!!! Sofia and Christos remain as helpful as before, and Ilias the perfect host in the evening (Ilias I promise not to use my mobile as much!!!!!). The boat trip to Skopolos and Alonissos was very enjoyable, and the trips to the airport to see the planes landing and taking off were quite an experience!!! We will definitely return in the future. Thanks to all the family for making us so welcome again and good luck Ilias and Olga with the new baby.
