Just had another 2 week stay 17th Aug. ( wish it was longer ) at the boudouriani house. Was greeted on arrival like long lost friends. apartments are what you would expect basic greek but everything you need. balconys very large and all over looking the pool area. Fantastic gardens and relaxing pool area. if there is a problem just speak Ilias or any member of the family who are more than happy to help. never had a problem with room cleaning & change of towels throughout the stay. Food and bar service is 1st class, the english breakfast is one of the best . cooked by Paris. BBQ night on Monday is a Must with Great food & Greek dancing where you are invited to join in. Be careful they don't tie your legs in knots !!. It was our 25th wedding anniversary why we was staying there. when Ilias found out he made us a mezzie of greek food and the local falling down water. ( can't remember what its called ). which was a very nice experience. Now to the bad part !! Saying goodbye to everyone after the 2 week stay.

We booked a week at the Boudouriani House (28 August 2012) based on other Trip Advisor reviews.... in brief:-

The Good Points:
The family who run the resort are lovely, welcoming, unobtrusive and can't do enough for guests
The resort is small and pretty
It's close to the beach and many good tavernas
The Skiathos bus stop is just a few minutes away and the best way to travel around the island
The sunbeds are nice and comfortable
The pool bar is excellent, great cocktails and nice snacks / breakfasts

The Bad Points:
The appartment was shabby - the toaster was faulty and so we didn't use it, the door was hanging off the pot cupboard, the general decor was grubby and the shower mouldy, the main door didn't close properly, the draw on the console table wouldn't shut
The resort is situated on a VERY busy road with lots of road noise. Other reviewers have commented that it didn't bother them, but I would rather listen to the cicadas in a hot country than quad bikes, lorries and the local bus trundelling past every 15 minutes. I know the family running the resort can't do anything about this but Thomson should mention it in the brochure
The resort is quite clicky, with the same groups of prople going each year and meeting up. If getting involved in this is your kind of thing, you might quite like it.........?
Although the pool was cleaned regularly, there was a noticable ring of greenish scum around the sides.

Would I go again? Probably not, unless the appartments were given a good make-over which they desperately need. I have travelled to many Greek Islands, and know the standard of Greek accommodation is basic, but this fell below the standard we should expect.

We returned from the Boudoudriani (21/8) a family of 4 in a 2 bedroom apartment. The apartments are typically Greek, and yes basic, and clean, but after all you will be spending very little time there. The Monday night BBQ is a must and IIias and his family put on a lovely meal for very little money, and you can try your hand a greek dancing if you fancy. We fell in love with the island and its people and would return in a heart beat. Salt & pepper just up the road is thoroughly recommended but you will need to book,as is the Troulos Beach Hotel. We hired a jeep for 2 days which allowed us to see most of the island and discover some breath taking beaches and scenery. All in all a fantastic holiday, on a fantastic island with fantastic hosts,Thank you to all at the boudouriani,we will be back.

Room Tip: Room 12 is a 2 bedroom apartment set towards the back of the Hotel,

We spent one week at the Boudouriani House.
The Island of Skiathos is beautiful. The service and hospitality at the bar was second to none. A big thank you to Ilias. He can't do enough for you. However, the accomadation is dated and in desperate need of refurbishment. Also found the room cleaning left a lot to be desired and the towels were NOT changed daily, only twice weekly. The pool was pretty. The sunbeds very comfortable. I do think the pool cleaning could be improved. We also found the position to be noisy from road traffic. Fine if you can leave the doors closed at night. Beds were hard. If you can look over the negatives I have written then it is a great place for a holiday.

Can't believe some of the negative comments recently posted about the Boudouriani. Lovely place to relax with hosts who are second to none. Food is really good value and well presented. Illios is the perfect barman/host. All the rooms have a large balcony overlooking the pool and are cleaned daily as was the swimming pool.

we would definitely go back and recommend it to anyone.

We have just returned (Aug 12) from an excellent experience with the Boudouriani family. The rooms are perfectly adequate, the pool and bar are excellent and the service and hospitality offered by Illios and his family, matched that on a 6 star holiday we took earlier this year. Definitely a place to which we would return.

We have just arrived home after spending two weeks at these apartments. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment, there was four of us. Yes the apartment was a bit tired looking but the decor was very clean. The cleaners could be more thorough and more regular but hey ho! There was a problem with the water supply, which was a bit frustrating but the owner did his best to sort the problem out and got it fixed. The gardens are well kept. The pool was clean most days, the only problem was the bee and insects that decided to go for a swim, there were nets around the pool for guests to fish them out. Food was good and reasonably priced at the bar. The family that ran Boudoriani are very nice people. Its a nice place to go if you just want to relax and chill for a couple of weeks, there are Tavernas nearby. Our best one was Ratatouille, really nice food and extremley clean plus the people that own it are very welcoming. The bus stop in to Skiathos Town is virtually outside and the fare is 2E each way, can be quite crowded this time of the year on the bus. All in all we had a good time. Would I recomend this place for a holiday? Yes I would. Would I go back there no, because i feel the worlds a big place and would like to try other out greek Islands
