There is no denying that this is a quality restaurant, serving good portions of quality food. Excellent service at both the bar and once at the table. Food pricing slightly higher than other restaurants in the area – but worth it.
However, after our host had had confirmation of his advance table reservation by email it was disappointing to then have to wait for 40 minutes for a table, whilst others in the bar area were called to their tables ahead of us (had they booked in advance and were similarly disappointed, or were they walk-ins that hadn’t booked?). Is this poor administration, or being greedy and taking in more walk-ins than one should – or is it (as I cynically think) a tactic to boost profits by trying to get you to buy a (very) expensive cocktail at the bar before dinner?
This is a quality restaurant that is very much worth a visit, but book in advance (and if possible re-confirm earlier in the evening).
