My boyfriend and I stayed at the Skiathos Premier recently. We were definitely excited and confident about our stay due to all the reviews we'd read. The hotel is very modern and stylishly decorated (and we're designers so very picky). The reception area is lovely and always spotless. The pool is also neat, tidy and modern, you didn't have to fight for a sunbed and they have these gorgeous seating/sofa areas under shade which are perfect for when you want a break from the heat. The rooms are large and well equipt, we were a little disappointed with our view (looking out onto the road rather than the pool) so we didn't really use the balcony as a result but it was large and quiet.

I hate to have a downside, as we were happy with our stay but I would say that the standard of cleaning in our room really let this hotel down. It was very slap dash as if they literally had 2 minutes to do it (in fact I'm unsure whether they cleaned our bathroom at all during the 2 weeks) Our towels and bedding were not changed very often, which was a little unhygenic and when the bedding was changed it wasn't ironed and looked like it had been thrown on the bed, I know that sounds petty but this is a 4 star hotel and i think there should be a level of service, particularly when you are paying more for it.

Skiathos itself is BEAUTIFUL, by far the most picturesque place we have been, the local beach is really pretty (we even had lunch in the same taverna as Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell one day!) Banana beach is also nice and has a younger vibe, although is a bit of a trek to get there. The service in Greece is exceptional, the locals are so friendly and really go above and beyond to make your stay special, Ratatouillie restaurant is definitely the best in the area and as a result is packed so go a bit early or be prepared to wait for a table. We took a boat trip to neighbouring Skopolos and went on a tour of the capital, which i would thoroughly recommend as you see a side of Greece straight out a national geographic.

On the whole, the best holiday have had.

My wife and I have been travelling regularly to Greece for over 30 years but we have never had such wonderful accommodation as this. The rooms and facilities are wonderful. Everywhere in this hotel is beautifully appointed, equipped and spotlessly clean. There is so much space around the pool area with an ample supply of sun beds and parasols as well as delightful seating areas to chose to relax in sun or shade.
As others have said, the showers and beds are amazing, the fabulous pool is just perfect and we fully agree with the many positives described in the reviews of others.
The wonderful Rania and Roula who run the hotel are truly delightful and nothing is too much trouble for them. We had requested an upper room and stated when booking that this was our main priority but were disappointed to find that we had a room on the lowest level. This confusion was caused by the travel company and not the hotel but despite this, Rania and Roula went out of their way to offer us a change of rooms for 3 days (which was all that was available due to being fully booked). We considered this but although we did not have the views of the upper rooms our room was still fantastic with a massive bed and the best shower we have ever had in Greece. We were very appreciative of such wonderful comforts and still managed to enjoy the view when we spent time around the pool.
Don't be put off by the fact that the hotel is on a junction of the major road: the hotel is located at such a level that you are really not bothered by this and is able to maintain a tranquil atmosphere. One benefit of this position is that you are directly opposite a bus stop and can make ready use of the great bus service here(every 15 mins at a cost of 2 euros to Skiathos Town).
When booking, we were a little concerned that Skiathos might be a bit too developed for us as we tend to go to quieter islands but were pleasantly surprised by this beautiful island. There is absolutely no doubt though that our experience was hugely enhanced by this wonderful hotel and Skiathos itself should be very proud to boast such a wonderful establishment.
We don't tend to go back to the same place twice for a holiday but this will definitely be an exception so if you are reading this Roula (please excuse the transliteration): "Tha ta poume meta"!

Room Tip: If you want a great view ask for a studio but all the rooms are fabulous

We were moved to this hotel due to issues with the one we selected over 8 months ago. However, I could not have been happier with this hotel! We had a beautiful room overlooking the pool on the second floor. This also meant we had a sea view too. I was amazed at how lovely the room was, with a big bed, really big balcony with a table and chairs to relax in the evening. There was a hob which we didn't use, along with a kettle and a fridge. All spotless. The shower room was lovely and clean, nice pretty powerful shower, nice big mirror and lovely big white towels.

There is a good sized clean pool, lots of sun beds which I never saw full up. Nice quality cushioned ones too not cheapy plastic hard ones! The bar area is lovely although it is 9 euros for a cocktail.

The location of this hotel is brilliant because it's right in the middle of the main road of the island (the only actual road really!) (Bus stop 18) So one way you go to Koukounaries beach, the other way is Skiathos town. Troulos beach is a lovely little sandy beach with shingle at one end which is where we pitched up most days if only for an hour (probably 5/10 minute walk). The sun beds are all 8 euros for 2 beds and an umbrella where ever you go. The sea around Skiathos is beautiful and clear. We used snorkels and although the fish aren't that colourful it's still fun! Mind the spiky urchins though!

We hired a quad for one week of our two week holiday. It was brilliant, we went round the whole island pretty much, a lot of the roads are actually dirt tracks, and some of them are quite dodgy up the mountains! Loads of fun! It was about 115 euros for one week. It is mandatory to wear helmets, although we didn't (never known it to be enforced on other islands) the police did pull us over on the last day we had the quad and luckily we had them with us and avoided the 250 euro fine EACH! That would have been very upsetting. Apparently they do fine on the spot very often and we were lucky to be let off. However I'm sure the locals know when the checks are done as they don't wear helmets either on bikes or quads.

We went up by the monastery to the dogs home and walked one of the dogs. It's an unusual thing to do on holiday but really enjoyable! You can donate to help them keep it running.

There are loads of boat trips all based loosely around Mama mia.... some are better than others! We went on Kassandra, but I heard Poseidon is better as you can actually get off at the church steps. I'm not into the film but I do enjoy a boat ride where you can jump off for a swim and although it was sold as that, there was no chance to have a swim there! We did see dolphins a few times though which was great.

Very close to the hotel is Salt and Pepper restaurant which as everyone says is really nice. The food is great and like a decent restaurant in the UK. Opposite is Zorbas which I thought was closed down for the first week as I walked by it a lot and didn't realise it was open! However even though it looks a bit rough from the outside, once you're in the restaurant area, it's very nice. There are grape vines hanging and they do amazing food. It's owned by an English couple but the chef is Greek. I can't recommend it enough, the lamb chops are delicious and it was the best beef stiffado we had. You should definitely search it out. We also went to ratatouille but I can't see what the fuss is about there. It's nice but nothing special in our opinion. There are loads of lovely places to eat of course, this is just a selection. A great pizza place is down the road towards the town on the bend. You can walk there, I can't remember what it's called but they do lovely pizza. If you have a sweet tooth go to Sweet near the harbour, they have the best ice cream and cakes I have ever eaten! One final place is Olive Land, it's up in the mountains a bit, but it's worth it just for the view. It's a better view than Panorama and the food is much better! Oh and I can't leave out the Italian along the harbour road called Cos Altro. They have the best pasta and pizza ever. We went there twice, and it was delicious.

0.5 litres of wine is about 2-3 euros in most places, a pint of Mythos is about 2.50 and if you go in happy hour most cocktails are about 5 euros.

The room has air con and a safe as you'd expect from a 4 star included.

This hotel is fabulous and I would definitely recommend. The sisters, as everyone has also mentioned, are lovely and helpful but not over the top friendly! Perfect.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor as these are the ones with the views.

We have just returned home from our first family holiday abroad with two young children and can truly say that this hotel is faultless. Owned and run by two lovely young Greek ladies, the hotel is clean, stylish and offers everything you need. They are very friendly and welcoming and will help with anything you need. The rooms are spacious, certainly big enough for a family of four and the kitchenette area is perfectly adequate for breakfasts and light snacks. Everything is new and clean. The bathroom is too. We had a room overlooking the road but even as a light sleeper, we were not disturbed by any noise from the hotel or traffic. The pool and bar area is decorated and maintained beautifully and the children's play area is a real bonus. All bar and cleaning staff are very nice and do an excellent job too. The only downside as a family is the short walk (5 mins) to the beach as it is along the road. We tended to use the excellent bus service everyday (there is a bus stop opposite the hotel) to travel to beaches all along the island, and even to Troulos. It was worth 3 euros not to walk along the road with a buggy! Don't let this put you off with a family though, the hotel itself is excellent and well worth taking the bus to the beach. Would recommend to anyone :-)

Room Tip: Even being on the front of the hotel overlooking the road, we were not disturbed. I don't think there's a bad spot there!

just returned from a wks holiday, there is not a lot more i can add to the recent reviews. The hotel is fabulous what i would call a boutique hotel never in the greek islands have i stayed in a room like this, the bathroom is wonderfull all marble and a massive shower cubicle( yes a cubicle ) not a shower curtain that sticks to you when trying to shower, also the huge double bed which was very comfortable, there is nothing that anyone could complain about but you can't please everyone. The resort of troulos is quiet but a lovely beach and about 8/9 resturants not all on the main road , but so easy to get around by bus 2 euros into town and last bus leaves at midnight so you can enjoy the evening looking around the harbour and having a drink in the many tavernas which is beautifull in the evening with all the candles lit up.
I would highly recomend this hotel for a friendly and relaxing holiday will be back next year

Room Tip: Family rooms are on the lower floors overlooking the road but there is no problem with noise, Higher floors have wonderfull sea views but not suitable for people with walking difficulties
