Grecotel Olympia Riviera Thalasso
Ranked #2 of 8 Hotels in Kyllini

Excellent: The bach, the pools and the food.
Very bad: For 300+ EUR per night, we were not expecting to have such a small room with fake walls and badly maintained furniture (the refrigerator for example was leaking). Also the hotel lacks sufficient after-dinner entertainment. Another thing that we didn't like was the obligation for men to wear trousers at dinner. I can understand the request for "decent clothing", but the fact that the hotel is "water oriented" I think it justifies a request just for "casual clothes". Children activities were poor and only for +3 years old. Ours was 2 and we really had trouble occupying it in a small room or in a playground designed for older ones, during the afternoon when the sunlight is forbidding the pools and the sea.

At the end of our vacation it was the last hotel in Greece. We had an upgrade in a maisonnette, not perfectly clean but comfortable and with a private pool and a view. Yes we had a few minutes walk to the restaurant, every morning for the buffet, but it was ok.
Workers there are very helpful and polite.
The resort offers though private companies some water sport, but they don't advertise it, so you sometimes find out way too late that you could have booked a diving course. It can be frustrating.
The hotel is a resort, but no 5 stars here, getting a coffee after dinner involves going to the bar.. No towels at the beach or pool, you need to take the ones provided in your bedroom, buffet is huge but quickly empty, So I would say that it is a bit pricey for what you get. We did have a good time because of the upgrade.
The madola offers private maisonettes for more than 1000 euros a night, no way I would have pay that for the meals provided...

Hotel was very clean and the view from the rooms is excellent. Breakfast is great and the swimming pools is a superb place to relax.

It is a little bit overpriced but you will have the quality on services and variety of activities if a 5 star hotel is what you wish for. The beach is also great, clean warm sea on August that we visited the hotel.

If you are not buying an all inclusive package, everything is overpriced and you will feel like paying all the time as everything is set up in order to pay it. On the complex you will find archery, elixir spa, a lot of pools, mini market, organized beach.

Pools are available and open 24 hours. You can also go to the beach at night as well.

Last but not least breakfast and dinner is excellent. Very good quality on food and there were some fireworks also as a final touch to a very nice night :)

Negative aspect was that 2 friends of ours wanted to visit us and they were not allowed to use facilities! Even to come down to the beach would cost 63 euro per person! And even after talking to the reception they still did not allow them to enter.

Second negative aspect is that the WI-FI did not work properly.

The area as a whole is uniquelly beautiful. Unfortunatelly, the hotel has been bulid over an area that should be protected from 'development' as this. The visitor realises that a large area of the unique sand-dunes ecosystem has been destroyed in order for the hotel facilities to be built.
Tried to go to the beach through the hotel, but I wasn't allowed in (not even as a visitor!), so I went by the beach nearby. The hotel is a lot on the 'kitch' side, but this is a personal opinion. It is extremelly expensive (for greek people), so I would prefer to go to other nearby hotels, with better vallue for money and more fair treatment to environment.

It has been a great and relaxing holiday. The hotel is big, staff is friendly and service is good. Towels are provided in the swimming pool and at the beach. The SPA-Treatments did great things to help me relax after a very stressful time. Everything was large, we felt like gods in Ancient Greece......!!!

The hotel combines: relax, luxury, swimming in pools or beach, quiet and green environment, extremely good food, polite staff, top class facilities, average prices. I will go again and again.
