“Relaxing”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2014

A very quiet and peacefull Place. The beach is beatiful and nice. We have a room beside the pool and we have asked for a room there we could relax. The mainpool outside our balcony was a playground for Children and familys. Not what we have expected but we live outside the whole day. The service in this hotel was very good and the best of all. THE FOOD. We can be back only for the food and the beach

Stayed in September with the family. We were given a bungalow with seaview for the five of us. The resort wasn't very busy as it was past the high season. Food was excellent, service very good. The only draw back is that the resort is isolated and you need a car to go around. Not a problem as there is plenty to do in Kalamata. I would recommend this resort.

4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 20, 2013

Our family (2 adults, 1 kid, 1 baby) stayed in the hotel at the last week of August. The whole resort has a U shaped formation with the 2 legs ending at the beach. 1 leg has the main hotel building and the swimming pool while on the other leg are the bungalows On the curved top of the 2 legs are the tennis/soccer fields and the main restaurant. The 2 legs are separated by an agricurtural area that belongs (probably) to a farmer. So in order to go from one leg (ie reception) to the other leg (any bungalow) you have to walk for 5 min.
Liked:
- Outside area of bungalows is full of grass, very beautiful as a view and suitable for kids to play.
- Very nice room (bungalow), comfortable with modern design and perfect large bed offering good quality of sleep. Very clean with a spacious bathroom containing a bath tab and large shower area. Room had also 2 balconies where you could relax and enjoy the view.
- Main restaurant food was for sure above average. Good assortment and nice taste for almost everyhing we have eaten. A bit overpriced (22euro/person, 11euros/kid) especially if you don't drink too much (drinks were included in the price). Beer served was not so good. Desserts could be more tasty.
- Beach, Sea: Sandy beach was good with clear water, and suitable for kids as it deepens gradually. Completely calm in the morning, a bit windy in the evening (with some exceptions).
- Beach bar: Christina made very good coctails that everybode loved.
- Swimming pool was large, nice and clean while it had 3 depth areas, so it was suitable for all. Only thing that needed caution was the wooden deck around the pool which was very slippery in some areas.
NOT LIKED:
* No activities for kids. Kids club is realy no worth, I visited it the 1st day of our stay where a foreign employee inform me that there were no activities at all for the whole week!!
* Very small playground. No more than 5-7 kids could play simultaneously.
* Gym: Very small, with few instruments located under the basement (no physical light)
* Not enough activities for adults. Apart from sea sports and tennis, there is not much you can do in the resort. I enjoyed though running around the bungalow area at evening hours. If you are a runner or simply like to jog, you can try it.
* Absence of service in the pool area and beach. No option to order from your sunbed. You should go to the pool/beach bar yourself. Not realy a problem if you do not have to watch out for your kids.
* Spa area never advertised and from what it looked like it didn't seem worth visiting.
Bottom line, we enjoyed our stay a lot, but off course hotel can be improved, As the reception persons informed us, it will be expanded further in the coming years and this is one reason for not offering the quality of service in some areas. It is not currently a 5 star but it has the potential to become one.

Room Tip: Choose a corner room from the upper floor in a bungalow as it offers good view.

The bungalow we stayed in was amazing. Exactly as described and shown in the webpage. Both indoors and outdoors of the bungalow were unbeliavable. However:
1) the bungalows are far away from the main building and the breakfast building
2) the food offered at the beach tavern terrible. Only suvlaki, musaka, burgers etc. You know what I mean. These are dishes designed and promoted just to fool tourists. No real Greek cuisine. Why? Since the resort is full of babies and kids, how can a kid of 2 years old like ours eat junk food like that? After consuming this staff after 2-3 days we searched for tavernas at picturesque villages to find real Greek food.
3) the kids club is intolerably disgusting. it is only for Swedish. DISGRACE!! and even this is carried out by 2-3 young Swedish youngsters, perhaps as a part of their university studies (traineeship), and as such they were really bored. WHAT THEY ONLY DID WAS TO KEEP KIDS OCCUPIED WITH SHOWING THEM VIDEOS ON THEIR LAPTOPS!!!!!!

To sum up, if you want to stay in a lovely room, sunbathe near the pools or swim in the beach, then it is perfect, if you have more demands, then forget it

We were passing by this really beautiful area and we stayed for one night at this hotel on August 28. Let me tell you what I did like:
1. The place was very clean all over (rooms and public areas)
2. The sea view double room we used with was very good in design with the exception of the sink which was out of the bathroom and very uncomfortable resulting to create a little mess when you were using it
3. The breakfast was excellent for all kinds of taste at huge quantities
4. The food was good and adequate at a reasonable price. We don't eat too much but for those who do its a heaven
5. The staff is polite and eager to help you
6. The swimming pool is great. Big and clean with separate levels for kids and adults
7. The beach is excellent. I don't know what happens during the peak season but the day we spent there everything was excellent.

I cannot comment on the beach taverna because we didn't use it.
The bar under the dinning room was not the most pleasant place to spent the night.

Generally we were pleased to stay at this hotel.

We stayed during August '13 there for 8 nights - two adults & two kids. The buildings were nice and new other than that this hotel is a 3 star hotel. The rooms were good for 2 persons but not for families as they state for the bungalows. Further, the bungalows are not actually bungalows but small buildings that accommodate 10 rooms (5 on ground floor and 5 on first floor).
The room inside was hilarious it had a big double bed and a sofa that was transforming to a small sized double bed. There were no closet at all (only one open space hanging bar!) The bathroom was not exactly separate from the room and smells and sounds from toilet were all over the room. The bathroom sink was outside the bathroom area behind the bed and a huge tap was used resulting to make a mess every time you wash your hands. The balcony was way to small and it could accommodate only 2 adults (there were no more chairs as well - they wouldn't fit anyway). However, the hotel states that this is a bungalow for families of 4!!!!
The bungalow was far away from the main building and there were no shadowed places at all. If you need to get your breakfast or go to the swimming pool you need to walk 6-7 minutes under the hot sun.
The hotel offers room service charging 2 Euros as service fee but it is only for pizza and salad. They do not serve coffees, beverages, drinks, breakfast etc. Also the room service is only available till 22:00.
The bar they had was closing at 23:00 (food served up to 22:00). Therefore there is nothing to do or to eat after that time.
The only activities the hotel had was tennis and sailing/surfing.
The beach tavern was open till 16:00 and the food was expensive and disappointing.
The staff had an unacceptable attitude and some times they were rude (especially Marianna - Supervisor of Beach Tavern). They are inflexible on everything you might ask or need. They just do their task without trying to serve you with professionalism. For example we asked if we could get pizza in beach tavern and Marianna said that pizza is served only in rooms and at the bar that was opening 4 hrs later. Asking her if we could order pizza and bring to the tavern from room service and all the rest to get them from the tavern she replied: "Are you crazy? Can you imagine what should I do if 300 guests ask me the same??? This will never happen!!" (By the way the beach tavern has about 20 tables of 4 - i.e. 80 guests...).
There are no many sun beds on the beach and if you not go there early probably you will not get any (although it's free).
The parking spaces are very limited and they cannot suit all the cars meaning that if you go a night out to a club (25 min far in Kalamata) you will not find a parking space. If you park near the entrance of hotel they will wake you up early morning to ask you to move it even if your car does not obstruct other vehicles.
There is only 1 golf car for the guests so you may have to wait long to check in or check out at busy times.
There are so many other things I could mention but are minor. For example the grass has not been cut for ages, the glasses in beach tavern used were plastic that was washed thousand times and looked dirty, the spa is a one woman show who does everything and she is also inexperienced etc. But do not try to complaint they may embarrass you with their attitude and you will be probably pissed off.
The only good thing about this hotel was the cleaning of the room and all the hotel areas. Also the interior design was good.
Generally this was a big disappointment. The price seems to be a bargain for a 5 star hotel but this is a 3 star hotel and therefore the price is outrageous.
Stay away from it.

As a repeater, I'm still very happy with the overall experience.... Very kids friendly, excellent (to my palate) breakfast & dinner, responsive staff. The beach side restaurant (Taverna) showed massive improvement in responsiveness & turnover speed, and introduction of delivery service to bungalows very welcome. Attracting more Greek visitors this year, some issues with parking & smoking discipline, but no show stoppers overall. Facility expected to expand next year and move to English management (????)
