Lovely hotel, right on the beach. Out only problem with our room was right over the bar and the music went on too late.I always thought it should go off at 12-12.30. We would go back but ask for a quiter room.

We spent one week at the Alykanas Beach in Mid September. We stayed in a studio on the ground floor which over looked the pool side bar, no noise compliants from us but then we weren't really in the room much and by the time we came back from an evening out the bar was closed. The pool area is lovely and over looks the sea and beach, we never went in the pool as we choose to spend our lazy days down the beach. The beach is beautiful and sandy with crystal clear waters which are very shalllow you could walk out quite far and it would only come up to your waist! You do have to pay for sunbeds 5 euros for the whole day. There are men walking up and down the beach trying to sell you stuff but once you tell them know they soon leave you alone. The Alykanas beach is just a short stroll into the main town- only took us 5 mins to walk in, loads of great places to eat out, never had a bad meal and found it to be quite cheap. the cheapest meal we had was 25 euros which was for 2 starters 2 mains and a couple of beers. We went to the Cosy Corner 3 times the food is fantastic!!!! We did go on excursions, we went to smugglers cove with First Choice which cost 30 euros and was a half day trip. the excursions are much cheaper in town. We didn't want to come home and could of stayed forever! Would defo recommend this hotel to everyone I know!!!

Spent a week with my partner on 16th sept, the rooms are basic enough but are clean and adequate if your not planning on cooking. Hotel, bar, pool and reading areas are beautiful. The beach is gorgeous and right beside the pool. The staff are very attentive n always happy to help. Food is slightly more expensive in the hotel than in surrounding resort resturants.
Bonkers bar beside hotel has lovely coffee and has free wi fi which is handy. Both resorts are quite small not suited to a mad holiday but if u are looking for a relaxing week with nice food it's perfect.

You stayed at the Alykanas Beach in August for a week....and wished we had stayed longer!! Having travelled to many places in Europe over several years we have finally found the place/accommodation that ticks all the boxes. The hotel has the most fantastic location literally right on the beach with a lovely pool also overlooking the beach for those that like that too. The sea is perfect for young children...gentle shelving and goes out for a long before it gets deep and the most clear waters only ever seen in the Caribbean. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment and again fantastic...large rooms, plenty of storage and each with their own balcony. The kitchen is very small as is the bathroom and both could do with a bit of care and attention but were adequate for our needs....you only sleep and shower there what more do you need....air conditioning however is essential in the height of Summer... Temps were in the 30s at 8pm. And I must add it is the only accommodation I have been to that it was cleaned every day!!! As previously advised if possible ask for a high level apartment we were on the 2nd floor which was fine but the people above kept moving furniture about which was a little annoying at 8am in the morning!! Also you get the best views of the lovely little bay. The staff were fanastic all very polite and helpful and although we did not eat much there the food we had was of a very good standard and the evening entertainment that we saw was very good. This all centred around the outside bar/pool area which was lovely as the sun went down overlooking the bay...again it was sometimes hard to imagine you were in Greece. Alykanas itself is only very small but there are plenty of bars and restaurants again good choice of food, excellent staff and very welcoming. There is more choice in Alikes which is about a 10/15 min stroll round the bay but we didn't venture out that far in the evening as we had two teenagers with us who "can't be bothered to walk too far"!!! However I must say for a 17 and 14 year old it ticked all the boxes for them as it was safe enough for them to walk about on their own and only being the one main strip they couldn't get lost!! All in all a fabulous time was had by all.....and we can't wait to go back....hopefully minus the kids this time! :)

Room Tip: If you don't like noise try to avoid the rooms near the pool end of the hotel and also go for a...

Stayed at the alykanas beach apart hotel after recommendation from friends from 29th august for eleven nights, and can honestly say we wished we had booked for a month.
Absolutely stunning location only down sides were the cold shower after 5pm and a little noisy at night if your room is too near the bar, but such is life if you cant put up with these minor things for such a fantastic location then its time to give up.
Tried quite a few restaurants never had a bad meal i.e dyonosis apollo in alykanas and piccadilly in alykes all great meals, will certainly consider booking next year

We have stayed at this accommodation 7 times out of the last 8 years but this is the first time I have written a review. The reason is I dont want it to get too popular and therefore spoil its charm which is why we have fallen in love with it. It is right on the beach and the pool is excellent too - the location is ideal for a quiet holiday as it is away from the main town. The actual town is not noisy and it really only suits families or young or old couples - there is not enough to do for a group of teenagers - again this is part of the attraction. The hotel/apartments are in need of a little tlc - it could do with a bit of a makeover. This is not the most important thing though as you dont really spend a lot of time in the rooms. The reception area is lovely and the grounds are good too. The staff are fantastic and make us really welcome. The pool is kept very clean as are the grounds of the hotel. I would definitely recommend it if you like a quiet holiday. Some of the trips are quite good - we did the Turtle trip, just be aware that sometimes you are on the boat for more than 6 hours and there was no toilet facility - this was awful - the first time we did the trip the boat did have a toilet - so, if like me, its something that is important to you, please ask when booking the trip.
The other thing to do is the water park - this is great fun for all ages and this year it has been recently upgraded to have more rides for the young kids. I would definitely recommend Alykanas Beach aparthotel - its is superb and we will definitely be going again very soon - I hope!!!

Room Tip: Higher floor is better so that you dont hear heels walking over the floor at night - also rooms awa...

After too many years of long haul and disappointing all inclusive holidays in overpriced hotels, this was bliss.

Very clean, very basic but comfortable 2 bedroom apartment, All the 2 bedroom apartments are at the rear of the complex. This is definitely where you want to be. Away from the loud late evening entertainment, albeit this is not every night.

The apartment was not fancy - two hotel bedroom style rooms and a small communal cooking area with just enough room for a table. But for the price paid - very decent value. Eqach room had its own spacious balcony.

Air con was essential and extremely effective - £30 per room per week. Room safe was a standard fee too.

If you prefer to snack without cooking, the snack bar on site is fairly priced and speedy service.

Plenty of minimarkets within 5 minutes of the hotel too. And very cheap souvlaki cafes - strongly recommend Oasis and Stonebridge for lunch.

What sells this destination is the no-frills, relaxed nature of the location. For once i was able to avoid long trousers for the entire week and stay casual. No pressure, no rigid AI regime. And it couldnt be in a better location - a narrow but lovely beach, shallow bathing, lots of sand. All in all, very family friendly (though as someone said, there were a few mooching pooches around which is something the region needs to control.)

Alykanas itself was charming - fine food, reasonable prices, lots of restaurant choice and very nice people. Coming here felt like a return to simpler happier holiday memories. It just felt....civilised.

Perhaps the most charming aspect of the tourist exerience was the local ban on taxis. At the rank you will instead find a host of ponies and traps who operate for a flat fee of 10 Euros, which is often subsidised by any restaurants you visist by this means. A treat? Maybe, but all i saw for the week was a slew of big grinning faces as people and their children passed by waving, heading out for a drink or a meal. I loved this aspect of the town.

To be fair, most places were reachable on foot, but in the heat...maybe not a great idea. Nearby Alykes is livelier and has a wider beach, no more than a 10 minutes on foot from Alykanas, but arriving by in Alykes by cart was fun .

Many others previously said, if you are prepared to blank out trivial annoyances you cannot fail to love this place. (Not thrilled by night flights and having to pay for an 8th night due to pickup times, but hey ho...they only charged 35 Euros for this)

I agree wholeheartedly with all the positive statements. Didn't eat at a single bad restaurant - Cosy Corner is a little more adventurous than others and was tasty. The Indian/Chinese was fine....better at indian than chinese. Dionisus was excellent as was the Lemon Tree......actually, we couldnt go wrong. Typical evening meal price for two, for most main courses with drinks was from 25 to 35 Euros.

Room Tip: if booking a studio insist on one facing outward. the entertainment is genuinely deafening in some i...
