If you like your Greek Island hotels by the sea with a colourful , buzzy and interesting harbour then you would struggle to find anywhere as delightful as the Sea Horse. I wholly endorse the advice to make sure you have a full sea view as without one we would have felt somewhat cheated. The sea and harbour aspect are just spectacular.
The harbour is clean and full of fish. One of the delights is breakfast on the harbour side
and passing your leftovers to a shoal of waiting fish.
The hotel is simple and comfortable. If you're looking for mint chocolates on your pillow and luxurious rooms then it may not be to your taste but looking through our window and from our balcony was enough to make us feel constantly privileged.
Dimitri is a tireless presence at the front of house, assisting with trip bookings, serving at the restaurant, providing advice to guests. I can understand those who might feel him intimidating by his ever-presence but we really liked the captain and his very tightly-run ship .
The restaurant at the Hotel compares quite favourably to what we thought (with the honourable exception of Sansibal) were a crop of rather over-rated restaurants in Molyvos.More
