3 en suite bedrooms and a terrace overlooking the sea. Wow. Everything we needed was available, clean and well tended. The owner happens to own the best restaurant in this little fishing village so we could walk down for fresh fish every night. If I were writing a novel, this is where I'd come.
Our stay at the Grand View Kimon couldn't have been better! The house is charming and modern with 3 equally comfortable bedrooms, 3 full, nicely -appointed bathrooms, more than ample common space and great outdoor sitting areas. Our hosts thought of everything to make it a wonderful stay...from a well outfitted kitchen to extra towels and pillows! And morning coffee on the veranda,
looking out at the blue, blue Aegean, was a terrific way to start every day!!!
Molyvos is a very special part of the world and the location of the house in Molyvos is perfect. We discovered markets and a yummy bakery a short interesting walk from the house. We walked to the harbor, just in time you see fishing boats returning, octopus drying, and for meals at the Captain's Table, where the food was so good we ate there almost every night.Exploring the town on foot is fun and mysterious (there are lots of side streets that beg to be explored) and there are a bunch of day trips you can take from Molyvos to other parts of the island (but that's another thread).
I highly recommend Molyvos and Grand View Kimon. And I thank Melinda and Theo for being such responsive, warm helpful and fun hosts!
BTW there are 3 Grand View homes (they are different sizes) that are also managed and built by Melinda and Theo. The TA listing for "Grand View house" has reviews for all 3.
Grand View Kimon was absolutely perfect for us. Traveling as a group of 3 couples for one week, we each had our own very comfortable bedroom and our own full bath. That's hard to find! The house itself is very new, beautifully constructed, with tasteful decor. We spent many hours together on the outside covered porch, overlooking the sea. The house is well-equipped with wifi, a TV (we used only to watch the Royal Wedding!), kitchen equipment, and plenty of towels. A very nice housekeeper cleaned the house mid-week and tended to the plants outside. We loved the incredible views, and the house is very well situated for exploring the town and surrounding areas. We also highly recommend The Captain's Table restaurant, run by the owners of the property. We thank Melinda and Theo for the wonderful home, the wonderful food, and the wonderful work they do to assist refugees on the island. We definitely want to return someday.
