“Fantastic! ”
Reviewed July 25, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We stayed at the spires for 6 nights and would highly recommend it. The panoramic views are stunning and the apartment itself is decorated to a very high standard. The owners had provided all of the essentials and more. Given the apartment's location we were able to explore Cornwall easily. And to top it off, the owner's homemade scones which were left for us on arrival were delicious! Thank you Stephanie and Andrew!

“Fantastic Break”
Reviewed July 25, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Me and my partner booked this retreat for 3 nights and it was absolutely fantastic. Couldn't fault the location or accomadation! Trips out your not far from anywhere - we visited Lizard Point, St Ives, Falmouth and Truro.
The apartment itself is done to a fab standard - clean, comfortable, has everything you need tea, coffee, foil, oil, pots pans, plates etc...(even a picnic basket - which I was so excited about!)
Steph and her family were so lovely - had a really nice welcome and they were there if we needed them but gave us all the space we wanted. I would recommend this to anyone needing a good relaxing break!! Totally relaxed after, view is stunning - we even manage to have a visit from two deers one evening when sat on the balcony!
Have recommended to all my friends..... Thankyou for a wonderful stay!!

“Exceptional quality”

We were lucky to be the FIRST ever guests at Spires back in April of this year! - (apologies for the late review). The amount of superlatives I could use to describe this property are infinite.

When first booking the property online we could not believe our luck to come across a retreat that provided a high range specification with impressive photos to match at such a reasonable price when compared to others in similar locations or providing similar specifications. Therefore our expectations were already very high. Not only did Spires meet our high expectations, it exceeded them!

No expenses have been spared in creating a luxury environment to stay in. From the log burner, to the Bose Bluetooth connecting speaker, to the countless amount of kitchen utensils, this property has everything you need to enjoy your stay in comfort and convenience. The hospitable gesture from the owners of a Cornish welcome pack including scones with clotted cream, jam, ginger biscuits and fudge was greatly appreciated on arrival.

We were lucky to be blessed with excellent weather during our stay over the Easter weekend, therefore could enjoy the outstanding view from the glass gable end in the well designed raised position that the space is situated.

Focusing on the interior, the bed must be noted - so comfy that is almost impossible to leave. The choice to have openings rather than solid doors in the property creates an clear and flowing space - hard to not feel claustrophobic when you go back to your own house after enjoy the openness of Spires for a number of days.

The location of the property is well situated for day trips to St Austell, St Ives, Charlestown, Falmouth and St Michael's Mount to name just a few. However you may find it hard to want to leave the property.

To conclude this review, the underlying theme that impressed us the most was the attention to detail. From the his and hers dressing gowns, to the Tassimo coffee machine and the consistently high quality of each item and appliance provided in the property, the owners really have outdone themselves. Most good holiday lets make the guest feel that their needs are being met, but this retreat has the rare gift of making the guest feel as if they haven't any needs.

Thank you very much to Stephanie & Co for having us, and we look forward to returning in September!

“Contemporary Cornish Treat”
Reviewed July 7, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We loved the Spires - from the panoramic views across the landscape from the balcony to the contemporary interior; everything was set up for a relaxing stay. The fridge was full of cream tea goodies; the kitchen stocked with tea, coffee, biscuits and local wine. There were dressing robes and beach towels in the wardrobe; a picnic basket to make use of; and we almost wished it was winter so that we could enjoy the log burner!

The property is in a great location, not far from Truro and easy to get to most places in this part of Cornwall. We visited Falmouth, St Mawes (via the ferry) to the south and St Agnes to the north. The apartment comes with parking and the owners were there for us if needed but otherwise left us to enjoy our holiday in their beautiful corner of Cornwall!.

“Stunning Apartment”
Reviewed May 29, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

This apartment is absolutely stunning and the perfect place for a quiet and relaxing getaway. The property is finished to such a high spec and has everything you would need.

The owners were very courteous an didn't intrude at all. I imagine if we needed anything they would have been very helpful.

Our favourite places to visit were Porthtowan and St Agnes. The former has a lovely beach with a gentle walk up the cliff side. The latter is a quiet village, we ate at 'Taste' which was fantastic well worth a lunch there.

You might not want to leave the apartment though and we found that we spent the early evening relaxing on the sofa enjoying the view.
