The view from the hotel was incredible. The pool and grounds are very impressive and well kept. Rooms are comfortable and spacious. The food and service were also great. Go to the dinner buffet with live Greek dancing and music for a fun night.

Havent experienced a better service anywhere else. Can strongly reccommend this hotel. The location is close to a nice beach, the food is excellent but best of all is the super service we experienced from the staff in both the restaurant and the bar.

I liked Cretan Dream Royal. Great location, excellent service, great rooms, highly recommended.
Regarding rooms we were at 323 + 325. The hotel is extending on that side and there was a construction site nearby, with some sporadic noise between 8 and 10 AM, but nothing sustantial. We are early birds, and for Crete you need a looooong day to explore, so I didnt fell affected.
Hotel has a lovely pool, perfect size.

I regret that they are expending think will lose a bit of its compact size and flair.

Beach nearby is practical yet nothing special compared with what Crete has to offer.

We enjoyed our stay 100%.

From Eleni at reception, irakli and Spiros at the restaurant, Valentina at the pool side bar to Manoli the manager the service and hospitality was impeccable and will have my family running back to stay at this hotel. The rooms were incredibly spacious and the housekeeping service was exceptional. Everyday we would return and they had made a new design with our towels left on our bed.

The buffet for both breakfast and dinner was fabulous! It was the best buffet we have ever eaten at a hotel. They also had different shows and events on various nights. One night there was belly dancing, another night latin dancing and one night a performance by two fabulous singers. It was so entertaining and we were never bored.

The food and drinks at the pool side bar were affordable and the Greek burger was utterly scrumptious!

The pool was idyllic. It is an infinity pool and you can spend hours just sitting on the edge. The beach opposite the hotel is fabulous too.

We cannot express how much we loved this hotel!!!

See you next year!

We have just returned from an 8 night holiday in Crete and stayed at this hotel for the duration of the holiday; we were very happy with our choice of hotel.
Ideally located, easy to find ... An attractive hotel with magnificent sea views. These are even more wonderful viewed from the infinity pool!
We were given Room 428 which was a room with a sideways sea view from the balcony. Tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean, our room overlooked hotel gardens with Orange Trees and the sea glistened on the horizon .. it was also a slightly larger room than most due to the extended balcony.
The buffet style food at the hotel is very good, particularly breakfast. Greek yoghurt is just devine! We stayed on half-board basis but in hindsight should have elected for B&B only, as there are so many wonderful tavernas in Crete serving excellent Cretan and international foods, many within walking distance and certainly driving distance from the hotel, which would have given a more varied culinary experience to our stay. Every other night the hotel holds 'theme nights' which often come at an additional cost, we didn't participate in all of them, but the Greek Evening was very enjoyable.
Staff at the hotel are particularly friendly and helpful. The hotel is small enough for to feel like there is a 'personal touch' with a sense of familiarity growing with staff, particularly the waiters during your stay. This added to the charm of the hotel.
I would recommend a hire car if staying at the hotel, although there is an excellent bus service a car is needed if you want to experience the real Crete.
Would I stay at the hotel again ... Definitely!
That said, I agree with other reviewers that the 5* rating is slightly overgenerous as the hotel isn't as opulent as other 5* hotels I've stayed at with that rating, that said regardless of rating we enjoyed our stay in what is a very nice spotlessly clean hotel.
There are a few things to be made aware of:
- There is building work going on at the side of the hotel, the hotel is being extended to include a spa I believe... Sea view rooms on that side of the hotel may also have views of the building site. We were fortunate ours didn't!
- There is a Main Road between the hotel and the sea, but this is cleverly obscured from most hotel viewpoints by the way the hotel is elevated on the hillside. The hotel has a private tunnel under the road to get to the beach.
- No kettle in the room. A minor niggle, however we used the coffee percolator to boil water, which worked ok!

Room Tip: Avoid rooms overlooking the building work.

Excellent hotel overall

Very friendly and helpful staff. Both the room and entire hotel were really nice, modern and clean. The room with a sea view was spot on. Great food on the half board option and would recommend the lobster evening for a small surcharge!

Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Greece
