Beautiful setting and wonderful garden. The quinta has two swimmingpools, house was cleaned daily, staff is o.k. too. Breakfast is nothing special. Most houses have lots of privacy. Levadawalks are nice but watch out for rockfall after rain. Whilst driving around we were surprised by a rock as big as a couch on the middle of the road that hadn't been there 30 minutes before.. (although this was after continuous rainfall on the 21th of October).
We found the Quinta a little expensive for what it was - but maybe 'Eliza was here' was to blame for that as well.
The walk to Boaventura (that starts next to the local snackbar O Arco) is beautiful.
We grew very fond of the 'three musketeers' (cats) that were walking about in the gardens, especially the little one. Hopefully someone can give an update on how they are doing now..More
