We've eaten here several times over the years, and sometimes just stopped for a beer. We've always found the staff friendly and helpful. This time we did go for the 'fish caught today' and it was certainly fresh and certainly plentiful and certainly, at 25 euros for two people, including a side salad and vegetables, value for money. We've always sat outside enjoying the view and watching the boats go by. Good bottle of vino verde, also reasonably priced. You can walk to Camara from the edge of Funchal (Madeira Regency Palace) along the coastal path, away from the traffic and reward yourself with lunch here!

First time we visited Camara de Lobos was in 2010 and decided to eat at this restaurant because of its location and i must say the food was excellent .So when we visited this year we had to go back again. The quality of the food was as good as i had remembered on our previous visit, again i had the Scabbardfish and my wife had the tuna all cooked to perfection.
This is a very modern restaurant minimalistic on the inside with a large terrace overlooking the Ocean and as far as i can remember the same staff.
All in all a wonderful experience and very reasonably priced.

Great location overlooking the sea. Modern restaurant, serving classic local dishes. We all had "fish of the day" - which we chose from the platter of wet fish shown to our table - they looked like they had only just stopped flapping. Euros 12.50, so excellent value. Portions are large. Service was very nice, by some rustic old boys.

Location of restaraunt is good, but not convenient to find.it was pitty,tt along fishing port were bars only.We are looking for original taverna type fishig restaraunt, but find only this one, which design is more suitable for other surroundings, than in this small village.waiters were slow and non-cooperative,food was average taste and no any seafood specialities were in menu, same set,as in many other places.

Another visit to Camera de Lobos so another visit to the Coral Restaurant - up the hill, by the sea just behind the church of Our Lady of Fatima, the staff are mature and do not seem to change from year to year, always found the service consistent and good. The food is all freshly prepared and simply presented but tasty and good value. We ate inside as it was so hot (most people sat outside) but this was no problem our table was nicely laid with a proper tablecloth, napkins and cutlery plus condiments, we had some lovely bread to start with and were then offered the fish of the day but declined and had instead, tomato soup which was hot and rustic with a poached egg in it, unusual but surprised how very tasty this was! we followed this with Espada fish+banana which came with rice, potatoes, carrots, broccoli and corn - it was simply presented but well cooked - we couldn't manage a dessert. We very much enjoyed our meal and will call again next year when we visit Madeira.
