We stayed nearby and enjoyed walking to the hot springs for a soak in the evening. It was enjoyable and relaxing for our entire family.

On a recent month long visit to the Azores, which included visits to 6 of the 9 islands, we made the fortunate decision to take a day off of touring and visit a hot springs in Furnas, Sao Miguel, Azores. It was recommended to us by the owner of a house we were staying at in Ponta Delgada. Glad she turned us on to this fantastic place. It was a little hard to find but well worth the effort. The grounds are very well kept, clean, safe,(security guard walking around). Very clean changing room, with shower,(Cool brisk water), great people working there. Rustic pools, nice and warm, a cooler one if you want, a kids pool too. Very inexpensive, in and out privileges all day. Very good restaurant close by, the Cantinho Da Poca. A great 1/2 day way to pamper yourself. A 5 star place *****..........................

The warm iron-rich waters from the area surrounding Furnas is amazing. My young girls enjoyed moving from bath to bath.

Stumbled upon this glorious oasis while travelling towards Furnas in the Azores. What an amazing hideaway that was a feast for the eyes with beautifully landscaped gardens and several hot spring pools that were ah ... so relaxing. Highly recommended!!! One of the nicest places we visited during our stay in the Azores!!!

We went to these hot springs at night in the middle of the week during our honeymoon. It was a unique surprise. The waters were the perfect temperature and you are literally in the middle of natural vegetation and rock. The waterfalls were also a nice touch. We had a relaxing night and slept like babies. This is not to be missed while in Furnas.
