Owner description: Poça da Dona Beija's ferruginous muds are indicated for cutaneous invigoration, and it's hot waters are therapeutic. All the pools have running water which ensures it's constant renewal. We receive tourists from all over the world looking for some time of relaxation and well-being. You can visit us anytime of the year. Our hot waters are revitalizing both in the Summer and Winter!

On a wet winter day, 65 out, we took in these volcanic hot springs - and what fun. Very nice modern changing rooms - and nice local flowers and landscape. The water is just right, and they say great for the skin - but be advised the sulphur in the water means you will get a yellowish slit on your skin and suit, nothing serious - but don't wear white- and they give nice towels to dry off with.

After a long day visiting the wonders of the island of Sao Miguel, ending the day in the Poça D.Beija and headed out there ready for a new journey. Tip: bring a swimsuit, towel and slippers, have changing rooms where you can change clothes. Open every day from 7:00 to 23:00 Entrance: € 2

The Poça D.Beija is known for its therapeutic indications and is one of the symbols of Furnas. Consisting of several pools of hot water crystalline, these iron rich hot springs are long frequented by locals and visitors to the region.

Great place for relax - hot springs, calm beautiful surroundings secured by a guard with really good command of English. The gift-shop here is also worth visiting - from my point of view the best I've seen on Sao Miguel.

It can get crowded on weekends, but weekday nights are quiet. I loved soaking in the springs at night, with just the stars and moon overhead. The water has a lot of iron in it, which can stain, so wear a dark-colored swimsuit and bring a dark-color beach towel for drying off after.
