We had a family chilling week here after the end of the cricket season. It was everything we wanted. But to be clear first, Quinta de Lago is an expensive area, so if you want to do cheap don't come here. Meals for 4 are about €150 & you'll need a hire car, although you can do taxis for about €14 to Vale do Logo for example. We had a two bed townhouse, it was superb, maid service each day, full sky sports, free cable Internet in the villa, with free wifi in the Club houses, plunge pool, kitchen with dishwasher.....we ate lunch a couple of times at pool side bar which was good. The restaurants in this area are superb, we didn't have a bad meal. For a casual night we went to the Irish Bar at Qunita Shopping which was superb as a pub resturant. The best resturant in the area on Trip Adviser was Mr Freddie's & it didn't disappoint. The actual residential area is superb, it's hilly as well so great for a couple of laps of walking in the day to keep you going. We will be back.

Just returned from our first trip to Monte da Quinta and it will not be the last. Had a ground floor sunrise two bed suite. Previous reviews were spot on with the exception of some adverse comments about sun beds. Going at a quieter time of year meant we had no problems getting a sun bed at all. The staff were great, attentive and always on hand. The suites are indeed a really good size and were spotless, the beds are a tad hard but thats Europe for you, the pillows more than compensated though. 3 Bathrooms in a 2 bed suite meant no queueing for the loo and gave us girls plenty of space for girlie bathroom stuff. Was a bit daunted by the thought of impersonal hotel travelling with just myself, my daughter and 1 year old granddaughter but should not have worried as the personal touch from the team made us feel safe, secure and welcome. The spa was great and actually was not put off by the 5 euros per suite per day charge. Believe that gives greater flexibility than adding the charge to the cost of the holiday for something that some may not use. Have stayed in worse 5 star hotels,

We stayed here in September for three nights. It couldn't have been a better choice. The rooms were one bedroom suites. Basically they had everything that you would need, very well fitted out, spacious and clean. This is as good as you would find in any 4/5 star Hotel. We hope to be back there one day. The breakfast was included and was delicious, buffet style. Service was good.

Room Tip: It is quite spread out so if you don't like walking ask for one close to the pool or reception.

Just returned from a long weekend on a golfing break at the Monte da Quinta Suites. Very comfortable hotel with excellent facilities. Our visit coincided with a large celebrity charity golf event, so we had the added bonus of meeting a few football legends! This did mean that our Friday night dinner was from the bar menu rather than a la carte, but the food was very good nevertheless.

The reception staff were very accommodating, particularly yesterday when we had to leave for a round of golf at 8am and did not return until 3pm. They allowed us to use a storage room and the spa to shower and change, and settle our bill on return, which was a great help. They were also very helpful in booking taxis to and from golf courses, and from/to the airport. They also gave us an excellent restaurant recommendation which they also booked for us. There is also a nice outdoor pool area and indoor spa, and excellent buffet breakfast.

The only minor gripe is the speed of delivery of drinks in the bar, and the rather firm beds, which is why I've docked a star.

The suites were on the sunset side and very comfortable with two bedrooms, lounge area with sofa bed, and a well equipped kitchen. Each bedroom had an excellent, spacious ensuite, with an additional bathroom off the lounge area.

A great place to stay for the golf courses at Quinta do Lago, Laranjal and San Lorenzo, which is where we played.

Stayed for one night only but thought this was an excellent hotel. The suite - one bedroom, one sitting room, small fully equipped kitchen, one shower room with toilet and one bathroom - was a good size and comfortable and modern. There was also a small outside terrace with table and chairs. Everything was spotlessly clean. Everything seemed to be of a very good quality and I would have no hesitation in returning. This seemed more like a 5 star hotel. My only complaint was that the wifi was not working whilst we were there.

We stayed for a week in early September. The hotel itself is lovely and modern and the suites have all mod cons and are very spacious. The buffet breakfast is very good and we found 99% of the staff excellent. I agree with other reviews that the pool side bar service is very slow and should really have been addressed by now.
If you like to have a wonder around in the evenings or venture out to other restaurants then you will need a car, there is only one restaurant in walking distance which if you have little ones is very good as it has a play area at the rear whilst you sit with a wine and look over a driving range, the view is lovely. Be warned the taxi's are very expensive, we were told that the taxi's are classed as a T1 which apparently is a higher standard of Mercedes or BMW and higher standard of service, if you manage to find a normal standard taxi number before you go you will save quite alot.
Two things that we found to be very poor were the 5 Euro charge for the use of the gym which I think is appalling, its as if the the hotel has just looked in every nook and cranny to find extra income, a hotel of this standard should not be charging for use of the gym!!.
The second thing was the " no irons available " in the hotel, they have a laundry service at a charge per item which I believe was very expensive but no irons are available to hire or in the rooms which in a family hotel I find very strange! not very helpful at all, another example of finding a way to extract more revenue from so called very valued customers.
Overall we did enjoy the hotel and the complimentary cake they made for my little boy on his birthday was fantastic and very much appreciated,
I would be very cautious about visiting in the school holidays after seeing the size of the pool area and other facilities, I would imagine it would be abit of free for all at breakfast and the pool sun bed fiasco.

Stayed for 3 nights in Sept. An excellent property, very good quality. Food and service were first class, we ate in the club house on one night, which was excellent. Good quality breakfast buffet.

Suites are large and well equipped, only minor criticism is that I felt the beds were uncomfy and poor quality.

Good pool area and public areas generally very good.
