We ate here 4 times on our stay. One of them was the seemingly very popular picnic on the driving range experience. Lovely fresh imaginative food packaged with care and packed well into the poshest picnic hamper we had ever seen. Well done. The only sore point was the wait be endured at the counter to collect it. No one seemed to be in charge and there were quite a few irate customers simply waiting for their baskets as we were.
We'd breakfast as a family one morning and found the wait to order excessive as they were far from busy. Staff milling around the counter, chatting to each other well actually shouting at each other would be more appropriate. When we did get the chance to order, the food was lovely and arrived with us very quickly. Well done.
Lunch after some golf lessons with the kids. Place was very busy and like previous reviews, staff seemed pushed to the limit as there were vey few of them working. Once again I agree there doesn't seem to be anyone in charge at any point. Kids had pizza, wife and I enjoyed our flavorsome Thai Curry and Chicken Caesar salad. Kids cleaned their plates, as did we. Well done. Very tasty. Catching the eye of someone for our bill, we did, but it never arrived so I had to go and get it to be told it had already been paid!!! Which it hadn't. Not once were we asked how our lunch was and no one even bid us farewell as we left. Pretty shoddy.
Dinner was kid free and a night for steaks! Perfectly cooked, nicely seasoned and absolutely brilliant pepper sauce. My wife asked for the recipe and was given it by the Chef personally! No complaints this night other than once again, no one seemingly in charge and checking on customers, although we were fine.
All in all, great food, lovely surroundings but all let down by seemingly no management, direction or customer service training.
My mark as many before me have also said is purely for the food.
