We should have been staying at Ria Park but due to over booking we were offered the quinta do lago, we didn't know what to expect but everything was great. The staff are very helpful and polite and at breakfast remember your name which was nice. The hotel obviously wasn't full but all the facilities were available, the sauna, turkish bath, jacuzzi and pools which we used and were well presented with lots of toiletries and towels. We didn't have a meal in the restaurant but it looked nice, we did use the bar and loved all the complimetary nuts which were served with drinks. There was a buffet breakfast and cooked food available to order. For walks to the beach and round the nature reserves you couldn't have a better location, also for the golf courses nearby, all in all a very good stay in a lovely hotel.

Room Tip: we had a garden/sea view which was lovely and very quiet

I know this hotel from many years ago and now I have been there again. Around meanwhile a lot is new (Villas, Hotels, Golfcourses) and Quinta do Lago is a big property. So, before you will reach the hotel quinta do lago, you will pass more than half a dozen roundabouts. The hotel area is green and clean, well maintained, looking good. The house itself is also very clean, no problem with this. But: Everythins looks a little bit dusty, old. In my opinion it is the look of the late Sixties. A lot of brown color all around, a little bit dark, furniture from years ago. Bath-Rooms are ok. But final it is not the level, some other five-star-hotels can give. So I only can give four stars an I think, if there is no change, it only would be three and a half.

Beautiful rooms, lovely staff, wonderful food. Overall, lovely hotel! All the staff were very attentive, checking we were fine and did we need anything. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were cleaned twice a day to an immaculate standard. The breakfast was fabulous, you really could not ask for more! The views of the sea were beautiful from the bar and restaurant. If you are a golfing fan, this sure is the place for you to meet fellow golfers and be right in the heart of the golf courses.

Room Tip: We had a beautiful lagoon view room on the top floor. Highly recommended.

The hotel is first class. The staff make it so. They are friendly and look after you. The rooms overlooking the lagoon/garden are wonderful. Perhaps the bathrooms could do with a bit of updating but I understand that this is underway. So hopefully on the next visit they will all be completed. Breakfast is stunning - absolutely everything you could want. Don't usually need lunch after a big breakfast!! I'll be back.

We stayed here immediately after a stay at the Ria Park Hotel & Spa and interesting to compare the two. This has a stunning view over the lagoon, dunes and sea immediately in front of the hotel, and our rooms were bigger, newer with better pillows, softer sheets, fresh flowers and bigger balconies. Breakfast at the Ria was good but this was unsurpassable with even more variety, and the dining area is prettier. The outdoor pool is heated with superior pool service, and amazingly comfortable outdoor sofas. But the pool area is nicer at the Ria, and there is no comparison with Ria's amazing lush tropical gardens. Both are about the same distance to walk to the beach. I couldn't choose between the two and was happy to have experienced both.
