Standard of the room is the one which ahs been appreciated. Bathroom is modern and room is also OK (by Greek island standard of course). Hotel is not at the sea side (200 yards on foot) but room quality justifies the disadvantage of the distance to the sea/restaurants. Price is also very good vs 'studios'.

Room tip: Top floor with views to the sea

We stay there since 33 years two times every year. We love the hostility and the private athmosphere. Many Friends of us also enjoy that wonderful place. A lot of new friends we met there with the same feeling how holidays should be.

When we arrived from the ferry Nikos was there to pick us up. The room is big, clean and mattresses are good. There is also a fridge in the room. Bathroom is Greek standard.
Breakfast is included. Toast, tea, coffee, yoghurt, home made marmalade, butter, ham cheese, boiled egg.
Nikos is a friendly man who can help you with trips with his boat, renting a car, ferry tickets, and bus up to Olympos.

We have been staying with Nikos and Marina for many years -- our base in Diafani for walking and beach holidays. Generous, hospitable couple offering inclusive buffet breakfasts, boat trips with or without barbecues, friendly informal atmosphere. Two minutes' walk uphill from the sea. Mattresses somewhat hard, as usual in Greece (tip: remake, putting the spare quilt under the sheet).

The first time we were at Nikos Hotel, it was August 1992. We have been back in Diafani almost every summer and we've never changed hotel. Actually, we've never changed the room!!!! It's a family run hotel with a breathtaking view to the sea and the village. It offers a rich breakfast, with yogurth, fruit, coffee, tea, milk, the fantastic honey and almost every day we have cakes and other things just made by Marina, Nikos' wife. In the breakfast room you can stay all the time you want with your tablet because the hotel offers wifi too. Nikos, Marina, Manolis and Maria are like a family for us. They will help you for everything you need.
The hotel is simple, as everything in the lovely Diafani, but confortable. We look forward to be there on next summer!

Room tip: it's better if you can get a room with the view!
