This hotel is situated on the quiet west cost of Corfu away from all of the tourism. It is indeed on the side of a very steep mountain and there are no shops or other facilities within walking distance of the hotel. Entertainment is also very limited. Once you know this you can decide if this is the type of holidy you are looking for - ie blissful peace and quiet!!!

I have set out below a few points that I hope may help :

Hairdryer - is fixed in the bathroom and is a hose like contraption attached to the wall - you may want to bring your own! : )

Bath - if you want a bath then you will need to take a plug - they do not supply them.

Water - we happily washed our teeth with tap water and had ice our drinks with no ill effect what-so-ever. Saying that a large bottle from the hotel shop is only about 60cents.

Hotel Shop - very very reasonable for a hotel and sells drinks, crisps, sweets, creams etc

Steps - there are 73 steps from the Hotel to the Restaurant/Bar area - you can get the little lift but it really is not that difficult to manage 73 steps for anyone is reasonable health

Rooms - The sea view rooms are a must really! the views are stunning. The room was very clean and spacious - I really enjoyed staying in it. My only moan of the whole holiday is the noise really - we were in room 5130 which was very close to the lift door and at night the usual inconsiderate people were making alot of noise while walking past our door. Not alot you can do about that really but it may be worth aksing for a room at the far end of the blocks.

DVD's - There is a player in your room and Reception keep the DVD's under the counter so that you can go and choose on whenever you like.

Food - I really liked it!! There was coupious amounts of Feta Cheese, Olives & Salad every days along with a good variety of cooked food. The desserts were lovely but you have to be a bit quick of the mark as they seemed to run out quite quickly. I would definitely recommend that you eat early rather than later.

Previous complaints - I read comments that there were problems with Wasps and smells - I did not come across either! Maybe because we were there in May!

Guests -There was a good mixture of English, French and German guests all in the 40+ catagory. Personally I do not think that this is a family hotel - it is much more suited to couples.

Car Hire - I noticed that the price of hire cars at the hotel were double the price of what you pay at the airport so if you are thinking of of hiring a car I would definitely book it in advance. We paid €120 for the week for a Renault Cleo. I would definitely recommond getting a car! We had a fab time. We spent a couple of hours on the beach in the morning, had some lovely lunch and then would go out for a drive in the afternoon. There is some stunning scenery to discover and the roads are very accessable.

So! all in all just what the doctor ordered - a very relaxing week away in a stunning location. We are definitely considering doing it again next May. It was so lovely and quiet it was wonderful.

The rooms in this hotel are very modern and our room (4205) certainly had a great view of the sunset in the evening. Overall the hotel was clean and the pool area was very comfortable. The restaurant wasn't great and the food which was meant to be hot was quite often cold. The seating area outside the restaurant was very nice but the stray cats which people fed spoiled this area for me. The hotel is very good value for money in a remote location. Petra bar at the top of the hill is well worth a visit, as is Pelekas Village. The animation team and the staff at the hotel were all very helpful and nothing was too much effort for them. There was no complementray dinner at the a la carte restaurant and only one branded spirit (whisky) despite both apparently being part of the all inclusive package.

Room Tip: Room 4205 had a lovely view and was very nicely decorated

Stayed at Lindos Bay hotel first week in May. Hotel tsth great conce and k wi bacexcellent, location is stunning, and the weather was very hot. The hotel is kept spotlessly clean, the staff work very hard and are friendly and helpfu, special mentions to the Hotel manager Anastasius who dealt with a problem that we had with our flight back immediately and effectively. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday, we would definitely recommend this hotel. A sea view room is a must, the view over the bay is beautiful. The food was very good, lots of choice and a visit to the A la Carte restaurant is a must, excellent service and excellent food! The location is outside Corfu, but only 25 minutes away by bus or taxi. Cannot think of anything negative to say and we would love to go back sometime. In our opinion this hotel really does not deserve the negative comments written on this site. So just ignore them and book , it you will not regret it .Anne ime.and Steve

The hotel is very clean, near a wonderful beach with wonderful sunset landscape. The food was good, but not so various. The acces is quite difficult and you depend on the minibus to carry you to the main road.

I have just returned from a four day stay with a large party of ladies. The hotel could not have been any better. Staff were friendly, rooms clean, food and drink plentiful and location wonderful for a short break with friends. I honestly have nothing but praise for the time we all spent there and would recommend this hotel. Thank you Aquis!

Room Tip: Try to get a room with a sea view, the sunsets are just lovely
