“The popularity speaks for itself!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 3, 2013

It was quite surprising when checking Trip Advisor after our visit that there were no reviews for Small Paradise. The restaurant was recommended by the Villa Plus rep. We took the recommendation with a pinch of salt as there are a range of eateries, but nonetheless headed there.

Any doubts were immediately dispelled, firstly by the popularity of the taverna, it was packed, and the attention of the waiting staff. The range of the menu, which was typically Greek, was enough to satisfy two fussy teenagers. The Seafood Platter was excellent with a range of fish, squid, octopus, mussels and prawns, most of which was fresh. The Greek dolma, meatballs and pizza all were to a very high standard.

The meal was concluded with fresh fruit and Raki which is a very nice touch.

Overall it was a very pleasant evening and excellent value for money.

“You have to eat here!!!!!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 19, 2013 via mobile

Can not add anything more positive that's not allready is been written!!!
The lamb melted like butter in your mouth.
The Greek plate excellent.
At the end you got baklava and raki, for our little boy at 2 years a little special shot instead.
Our boy loved the place, walked around by himself, playing at the little play area, walked inside the restaurant - he felt like home, wonderful place.
10 min walk from Blue village in Gerani, go west direction
Its a hidden gem, you must follow the road that goes between the blue village area

“a real plateful of paradise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 18, 2013

If you are staying anywhere near Gerani, don't miss a chance to eat at this lovely restaurant. You can choose a table under cover or in a beautiful grove of trees. I think the Greek plate, consisting of a variety of well known dishes in mini portions was a triumph and gave me a chance to choose my favourite dish for a main course on my next visit. In a short and sweet stay of only one week, we ate there four times and were never disappointed. The restaurant is run by a family and so is extremely family friendly too. We loved the easy ambience created by the staff and felt very much a part of the welcoming atmosphere. Best tzatziki in Crete too!

“Perfect food, perfect service, lovely prices”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 8, 2013 via mobile

Founded this place by chance and were happy. Authentical and tasty cuisine (friends are travelling over Crete already during several years, so the score is pretty fair). 10 adults and 2 kids were full up to the roof with delicious food and small and never ending botles of raki (half of it came as a compliment from chef) plus dessert (also as a compliment). Bill for everything - 180 euro.

“Hidden gem off the beaten track”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 8, 2012

Stubled across this place purely by chance and returned several times on our holiday despite staying n an all inclusive resort!

The ambience is charming with meals served under a green canopy. Service excellent and normally more waiters than tables being serviced who were also more than happy to help us get to grips with a few Greek words.

Then there is the food, what a treat! The Greek plate was an exquisite introduction to Cretan cuisine that prompted 1 or 2 return visits to savour particular dishes. Prices averaging around 15 Euros a head for starter, main course, melon and Ouzo it was a well priced too.
