“Ideal position to explore Croatia”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 20, 2010

We are returning to Seget Donji for the third year running, and usually we have a rule 'Don't go back!' For the second time we are staying at the Apartmenti - G, apartments. Wonderful position, with private access to the beach from it's own olive grove, with BBQ and seating. Good sized rooms great views, and well equiped. We saw the property when we first visited, thought it was much nicer than where we were stayiing, but thought the price would be high - not so at 45 euros a night. Zule's, an excellent Taverna is a 5 minute walk along the coastal path. Well situated to visit KRKA, Split and most points along the Coast and Inland. A trip out on Ante's boat, moored off the property, is also well worth doing as he goes to beaches you can't normally get to.
Certainly good enough to recommend to friends, who came with us last year and thoughly enjoyed themselves.

“Quiet seaside resort like the Mediteranean was 25 years ago”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 21, 2009

Seget Donji-Vranjic is a seaside resort ribbon development stretching from Trogir to the Medena Hotel complex, a large and ugly relic from the Yugoslav communist era. There is an old town centred around a small port which dates back to 1807 when Dalmatia was under Napoleonic occupation. A pathway built at the same time, called the Staza Zdravlja, leads up to a quaint little church on the hilltop with fantastic views over the whole area. The modern town mostly consists of attractive red roofed low rise villas with many divided into holiday let apartments. There is a long but narrow gravel beach and the sea is calm and clear but rocky underfoot. There are numerous beach bars and open air restaurants along the seafront, reminiscent of the Algarve or Corfu some twenty five years ago. For more sophisticated restaurants, small ferries operate from various points along the beach into Trogir. There are also ferries to Split and the Medena Hotel operates a daily coach to the Krka National Park. The transfer time from Split airport is only ten minutes, so you really don’t need a car. Don’t be put off by the proximity to the airport, although planes go directly overhead in Trogir, they follow Trogir bay and don’t intrude on the peace of Seget Donji-Vranjic. Prices are generally less than half of equivalent locations in the eurozone, but credit cards and euros are not widely accepted. The cashpoint at the Medena Hotel seemed very reliable!
