Well, it is my turn to provide some comments for people are thinking of this piece for a place to stay overnight due to layover.

1. It is very close to the airport, just across the street. I counted the stairs that you need to walk up - there are total of 41 stairs you have to walk. You should be able to walk from the airport to the place in 7 minutes with no large size luggage.
2. We left the large luggage at the airport (cheaper than grabbing a taxi and easier than dragging your luggage up to the hill). Large size luggage is xfp 8,000 and small 4,000. The luggage place is safeguarded by one assistant and it opens at 5:30am. Forgot what time they close, but we were able to leave our luggage there around 7:30pm.
3. Room is very clean with central cooling system. You might consider bringing your own shampoo and soap. I did see a bottle of shampoo and a soap bar, but they are not in good quality.
4. Breakfast is okay with fresh fruits on the day we were there. Simply bread, butter, juice, jelly, etc.
5. LAST BUT NOT LEAST, if your flight departs in early morning, please make sure to be there 3 hours in advance. Our flight leaves at 7:50am (flying back to LAX), given the distance, we thought it would be okay if we got there an hour earlier. WRONG!!! Air France requires check-in to be done 3 hours in advance (as the lady was telling us), and by the time we got there, the counters were all closed. We had to ask for special assistance on checking in our luggage. We finally were able to get on board, but it was stressful.

We had a late flight into Papeete and were rising early for a flight the next day. So we thought that this hotel would be a good option. I must say I was a bit worried after reading the reviews, however we were pleasantly surprised. It's really not far to walk across to the hotel from the airport. If you have heaps of bags it might be an issue. The room was neat and clean, I was expecting a real run down hotel but it was great! Spacious room. Air con, great shower, fridge. Breakfast was good. Would stay there again if we needed too. Ohh also they had wifi! Free

Nothing fantastic about this place and nothing bad about it either. 100% of it's clients are there simply for the easy stopover, to which it caters very well. Due to the ongoing World Beach Football competition ongoing at the time of my visit I ended up here a total of five nights. It's very clean and makes an ideal place to stay if needing easy access to the airport. At 125 Euros a night its not cheap, but nothing is in Tahiti, so the price is fair. One slightly annoying thing is that they do not offer a realistic "day room" for anyone stuck waiting at the airport waiting for flights. Day rooms here are defined as 06:00-14:00. Outside that time you need a room for the night.

The only place to eat nearby is a Chinese Restaurant (closed on Sundays) about 200 metres from the mote, or walk back to the airport where there's a basic café and a McDonald's with restricted opening hours. Two supermarkets can be found by within walking distance (400 metres and 700 metres away).
Pros:
1. Easy to walk from the airport terminal (only 100 metres), providing you don't have a ton of baggage.
2. Free WiFi. Works very well considering the remote location.
3. Free breakfast (well, included in the price).
4. Clean, fridge, TV, A/C, locable safe in room.

Cons:
1. Hot shower water not really hot - more warm.
2. Breakfast coffee only 2/10.
3. No food other than breakfast. Only a soft drinks machine. No drinking water provided in the fridge.
4. No lift/elevator.

This hotel does not profess to be anything other than budget and we booked it for it's value and location. It is directly opposite the airport in Papeete - you don't even need to ask for directions. You can see the sign from the plane window when landing and it is easily seen from one step outside the door of the airport!

Yes - there are two flights of stairs and a steep driveway, followed by another set of stairs to reception, but with manageable luggage you don't even have to be fit to get there. If you have more than 2 pieces of luggage, or heavy luggage it won't be easy. Taxis are an option but there are minimum charges and extra charges for luggage and at night. If you don't go over the airline limits it shouldn't be an issue.

We stayed for 6 hours on the way to Bora Bora and then another 13 hours on the way back. Both times rooms were spotlessly clean, WiFi and breakfast included, and for AU$140 (ish) a night it was perfect in an otherwise expensive location.

If you want a resort, or pool, or things to do then this isn't the place for you. If you want an easy, quick, cheap turnaround for connecting flights there is none better!

When I booked this hotel, I knew it was not a luxury hotel. I selected it since it was close to the airport and we needed a hotel room to get a few hours of sleep between flights. We arrived after 11pm so we took a taxi from the hotel to the airport since I knew there were steps and hills and we had a couple of large luggages. The 3 minute taxi ride cost us $23. When we arrived at the hotel, the lady at the check-in was very nice. She quickly checked us in. Our room was on the third floor but there are no elevators. There are a series of ramps that can be difficult if you have large luggage or any health issues. The hallway light is suppose to be motioned sensor. However, the light only stayed on for a couple of seconds. It wasn't enough time to make it to your room. Multiple people, including ourselves, used our cell phones to light the way. I didn't feel very safe walking in the long dark hallway. The room was clean but minimal and dated. You cant buy water at the hotel so make sure to buy some at the airport, if needed. There is a club nearby with load music so that may impact your sleep. The following morning, breakfast (which we didn't have) consisted of 2 boxes of cereal and milk sitting on the counter. We decided to walk to the airport in the morning and it wasn't difficult going downhill. Although some parts of the road are gravel which can be hard to pull luggage.

This hotel was ok for a couple of hours sleep but I wouldn't stay here any longer. If I had to do it again, I am not sure if I would stay again.
