We had a perfectly pleasant stay here for one night at the end of our vacation. We had chosen it for its convenient location to the airport, since we had a very early flight the next morning. The location was perfect, just a two minute walk away. Admittedly the walk is down a rather steep driveway and then several steps, but we had four suitcases between the two of us and still had no trouble, and we are in our late 50's. I admit it might not be quite so easy going UP the driveway. I suppose you could take a taxi there but it seems kind of silly to do so considering how close it is.

The front desk receptionist was wonderful and spoke very good English. She even helped us carry our luggage up the two flights of stairs to our room. I was surprised there were no elevators, but no big deal. She also recommended a "roulotte" (local outdoor restaurant) for dinner just down the road, which was excellent.

The room itself was more than adequate and perfectly clean. The air conditioning worked just fine. We had a room at the end of the corridor with a stunning view of Moorea in the distance. The bed was comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water. We could hear very little outside noise despite being so close to the airport and traffic below.

Unfortunately we had to leave too early in the morning to take advantage of the breakfast that was included in the room rate, but there was a decent coffee machine (as opposed to instant coffee) available 24-7. There is a supermarket just a block away from the hotel where we were able to buy our own breakfast provisions the evening before.

I would definitely recommend this hotel if you need a place for an overnight stay convenient to the airport. I wouldn't stay there for my entire vacation, certainly - it's not meant to be that kind of hotel. I honestly can't say anything bad about it.

We stayed a few times to Tahiti Airport Motel while in French Polynesia this July, travelling back and forth in different islands. It has the big advantage of being right in front the airport, so you don't lose time travelling to your lodging. Price is not the lowest in Tahiti, but very acceptable ($154 CAN for a night) for a place so well located. Nothing to pay in advance, you can cancel the same day if needed without charges.

Personnel is very nice and always ready to help. Breakfast is free with the room and quite generous with bread, jam, chocolate bread, cereals and different types of acceptable coffee... better anyway that what can be eaten at the airport with only McDonald open every time we passed by the airport. A good choice for us!

Room Tip: Try to have a room on the third level. There is a ramp from the street level so you can roll your su...

A friendly welcome and they speak English. Spotty but free WiFi -- recommend using it in the lobby. Using it in the room will infuriate you. Free breakfast was classic French options PLUS cereal, which I liked. Nice decor with hardwood floors and good water pressure on the bathroom. Negatives are the Stairmaster climb up a steep hill to the hotel, and ask for a room on a low floor -- there is no elevator. fair value for money overall.

Room Tip: Get a room AWAY from the landing strip for low noise.

Our family of 4 stayed here one night on our way to Bora Bora. I was a bit nervous after reading the reviews. We were pleasantly surprised. We reserved the "family room" a year in advance and it was perfect. It's one giant room with a half wall dividing it. King bed on one side and 2 twins on the other. The bathroom is large with 3 sinks and 2 showers. There is an additional tiny bathroom with just a toilet in the front part of the room with the twin beds. AC could have been a bit colder but was adequate. No electrical plugs in bathroom. (Make sure you have an adaptor!) Everything was kind of simple and basic but very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was simple but ok.
Everyone mentions the hill. Here is our take: To leave the airport- roll your luggage up the airport driveway, where the cars go, (minor hill) to the street level. There is a sidewalk when you get there. There is also a marked crosswalk and cars will stop if you let them know you're there. We arrived at night and didnt know this but they stopped for us the next morning when we went back to the airport. There is a very steep dark deteriorated asphalt hill up to the motel. We had no trouble but we are in our early 50s and fit. Our 2 teen daughters complained but did fine. The real problem is getting your luggage to your room with no elevator. That is a huge sweat-fest. And people, the halls are not dark if you turn on the light as you enter. They tell you this at the front desk when you check in.
We also used this motel as a day room on our return trip. A place to store our luggage for the day and clean up before our late flight. We had a small room the 2nd time. Clean and good AC.
We would definitely stay here again for one night.

We stayed one night as our flight arrived after the last ferry to Moorea. The rooms were clean and air conditioned with (loud) fridges in each room. You can see the motel from when you leave the arrivals area of the airport so can walk if you have luggage that can cope with steps and do not mind crossing roads (5-10 mins uphill)
Breakfast was adequate but the hotel will store luggage securely for a small fee

I chose this place because it was convenient to stay at after a long flight arriving early in the morning. It is nothing special, but my room was clean and comfortable, AC was working perfectly which I couldn't say for Wi-Fi connection and breakfast. Service at the reception desk was effective – they managed to clean my room and to check me in much earlier (at 8 pm.). It is a good place to stay for a night before you catch another flight for some of the islands.

We stayed here twice-- once upon our late night arrival on the way to another island, and again to have a place to rest and shower before our late night return flight. We stayed as a family of four and requested a family room. None were available, but they accommodated us with adjoining rooms, which actually was better since we had two bathrooms. We walked from the airport with our luggage and our children. It was definitely uphill, but we were glad to stretch our legs after the flight. The front desk staff was helpful. There was water and juice available in the open air lobby, which we appreciated. It is definitely a hotel (vs. resort), but all of the basics were there. The rooms were clean and definitely Euro vs. American in appointments (i.e., basics only). The bathrooms had wonderful showers and the beds were comfortable. The air conditioning worked well. When we awoke in the morning, we were surprised at the lovely view. We enjoyed a breakfast of bread, juice, coffee, and cereal. It was not the best breakfast I have ever had, but it was convenient not to have to leave the property and find breakfast elsewhere. The front desk staff arranged a cab for us to the ferry terminal. Prior to our return flight, we had 6 hours between when we returned to Tahiti and our flight. Rather than hang out in the airport with two children the entire time, we returned to the Tahiti Airport Motel, showered, ordered pizza and relaxed in the air conditioned room. It was totally worth the price of a night in a hotel. I would definitely stay here again, should I need a place to stay for a layover.
