“Authentic food at it's best”

The food and service are amazing, and the restaurant overlooks the Intercontinental pool area and ocean. Definitely try the mahi-mahi with vanilla sauce. They have great cocktails and a decent wine menu, too.

“Good, easy option”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 12, 2013

This is the main, casual restaurant on the Intercontinental property. We ate here for lunch, dinner and breakfast. The lunch food was OK, dinner food was good, breakfast was OK (but it was included in our package, so I can't complain).

This is a good easy option if you're just looking for a quick meal. It's pricey, but so is everything there!

“Completely adequate”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 14, 2013

You are not going to think this is the best food you've ever had. But it was good, fairly quick, with good service, super convenient (if you're staying at the Intercontinental or have time for a decent lunch en route to the airport), and for Tahiti, the prices weren't horrible. I had the large ahi tuna - it was huge (definitely could have ordered the small). My side item was cooked vegetables. Total cost was around 3000 xpf, but it would have been around 2000 xpf had I know that the small ahi tuna would have been enough for a meal.

Overall - if you want to just relax and eat at the hotel restaurant, you'll find it perfectly fine.

“A Friendly Restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 17, 2013

Le Tiare is the main restaurant in the InterContinental Resort in Tahiti. We breakfasted and dined there for 4 days. Service was always friendly and helpful and food variety and quality was good. Looking out over the Hotel's large pool and out to the lagoon made this restaurant even more attractive.

“Breakfast and Seafood Buffet”

Breakfast buffet was very good--many selections. Seafood buffet was over-priced and mediocre in quality and food selection.
